Mammon's Gulch is a camper paradise!
anyone else or just me I keep dying to players who stay in one place the whole time, either on compound or in the jungle. more than 75% of the times it goes like that. even If I'm been careful I always get killed behind or somehow within the area I'm in lmao :hunted:
is it skill issue? shotguns are good this updates everyone and their grandmas is using them.

The trick here is to either rush b or alternatively you can flash the mid and try to push from behind.

This crying about Campers ... guy this is not Unreal Tournament, Quake, Titanfall, Counter-Strike, Slipgate or whatever. Its Hunt! Hunting is about lurking and crouching. When you run over the map, jumping and making noises like an idiot then you are the problem and not the game, because you then had no idea what hunting means. When you get always shot from behind then you make too much noises.
Shotguns are Shotguns and have just a pay-off in close combat fights. When you are as dumb to understand that a direct showdown is the wrong way in this game then play something which fits more your gamestyle.

I repeat! Hunt: Showdown 1896 is NOT an Arena Shooter! When you play it like that will you loose and get frustrated!

Mammons Gulch´s compounds are easy to defend (with beartraps, traps and shotguns etc) but also easy to ambush a bounty team on the way out. If its possible, we try to ambush outside of compounds.

What i realise at mammons gulch: you can hide yourself very well when you hear footsteps nearly everyone under the pine trees. Thats why i never run in the woods and only run over open areas. I got a few times ambushed because i runned instead of walking and also i ambushed a few times others because they runned.

With the new Burning Time it's like an Arena Shooter already!

Hunt is a camping game, or it should have an element of it.
Fast disappearing tho.

Yep the clue is in the name of the game.

Nobody I imagine that goes out hunting deer sprints around making as much noise as possible.

Hunt is a tactical Extraction Shooter and often camping actually gets you the win, unlike alot of other games where you just rack up kills.

The other thing people always seem to forget is sound clues. If somebody sets off crows close by why would you sprint right to them making noise, giving up your ambush advantage? But then they scream that you were camping.

I always laugh when I hear people whining about "camping" in a video game. Setting up an ambush or locking down an area has always been a legitimate tactic. It's only the baddies that whine about people using tactics to their advantage.
