Shotguns are Shotguns and have just a pay-off in close combat fights. When you are as dumb to understand that a direct showdown is the wrong way in this game then play something which fits more your gamestyle.
I repeat! Hunt: Showdown 1896 is NOT an Arena Shooter! When you play it like that will you loose and get frustrated!
What i realise at mammons gulch: you can hide yourself very well when you hear footsteps nearly everyone under the pine trees. Thats why i never run in the woods and only run over open areas. I got a few times ambushed because i runned instead of walking and also i ambushed a few times others because they runned.
With the new Burning Time it's like an Arena Shooter already!
Fast disappearing tho.
Yep the clue is in the name of the game.
Nobody I imagine that goes out hunting deer sprints around making as much noise as possible.
Hunt is a tactical Extraction Shooter and often camping actually gets you the win, unlike alot of other games where you just rack up kills.
The other thing people always seem to forget is sound clues. If somebody sets off crows close by why would you sprint right to them making noise, giving up your ambush advantage? But then they scream that you were camping.
I always laugh when I hear people whining about "camping" in a video game. Setting up an ambush or locking down an area has always been a legitimate tactic. It's only the baddies that whine about people using tactics to their advantage.
