Had Death Cheat, still died

Had a character at max rank with both necromancer and death cheat traits. Figured I'd take them out for one last hurrah before retirement as they 'couldn't die'.

Upon being shot, I couldn't even use necro and revive. After the match my character was gone, death cheat didn't trigger.

Is this a bug? or can max rank characters not use burn traits?

I see it's a bit old but I found it searching for similar reason. Did you by chance have Death Cheat from before update? And/or did you have more hunters than available slots?

I've seen the necromancer bug quite a few times ever since solo Necro was introduced. You 100% have it equipped and yeah simply just dead.

Commonly you can't use necro if the AI killed you.

Not sure exactly which issue may have hit. Not enough details. But they should have worked. It is probably a bug and there are a few that may have hit.

First, were you definitely going in solo? Next, were the traits on the hunter from some time ago, they should have updated but they sometimes have issues and it doesn't register that you have them. (would be something like six months or more in time)

Also, there was a bug with some people having hunter slots not properly register. (before new engine they had more slots than they have now after the engine update) The issue is still being fixed, but if the game doesn't think you have the hunter slot, then it won't keep the hunter. Best way to check is to see if you are at or over your max hunter limit.

As for the idea that being completely burned out. Being completely burned out would prevent using necro, you do have to use it before you go red skull. But being completely burned out does not stop death cheat, so as long as you exited the hunt normally, you should have kept the hunter.

That leads to the last question, did you leave the hunt, or did time run out on the hunt. If you just walked away and came back later intending to revive and extract but the hunt had actually ended, then the hunter is lost, not dead and death cheat does not work when the hunt times out.
