where is the ping limit promised in the task force video? Where dave?

Ping is only one factor you also have to add in things like interpolation delay as it relates to character motion and input lag and bullet drop. Just because the game server is receiving where you are in under 220 MS that does not mean the game will always "draw" your location 1-1 to where you actually are on the other guys screen. If you are peeking the edge of a window and move it might take as long as 280 MS or more in total before you move to where you actually are on the other guys screen.

It depends how crytek handles things like movement update packets but if at any point he shoots you on his screen you are taking that damage because "shooters advantage" which a lot of games use because from a devs prospective it's more annoying to have a shot hit and not do damage.

What they should do is ping cap down to 120 or 130 but that won't happen because of certain people who have the ear of ctek and high ping not always being an advantage.
All of this is theoretically testable but the shooting range might not be a totally accurate test candidate because each lobby connection can vary depending on player numbers.

Locking the PING and removing the delay protection can solve all problems.
Although some people still complain that their high ping cannot kill others. But in my opinion, he can spend money to switch to a better network. Because this is a problem with his network quality, not the game itself.
I can't tolerate high ping in any other game because I know I can react faster with low ping.
But HUNT is completely different, some servers are full of mice or campers, and I have to endure high ping to find servers that won't squat in place for 20 minutes to play. I don't know why those people don't do anything after entering the game and just squat in place with sniper rifles for 40 minutes without any fun. It's really a waste of time.
I hope developers can do something, but I think they also like it.

I'm curious, when people here say their getting ping in excess of 250; are you saying peak, or average? Because if we go off of peak, then everyone would be getting kicked from the server at some point in the match.

No. You should queue by ping automatically. 100 and below you queue into a server with 100 ping cap; 101-200 you queue into a different server with a different cap; then overflow everyone else into a different queue.
This has worked for over a decade and it’s not rocket science.

If they ditched Leaseweb they could drop considerably. As the above states people have high ping in their own region.

Me in US

US East 59ms
US West 69 ms

In other games I have way lower. I installed Fortnite as a test and connected to their US West servers which are geographically roughly in the same area as the Leaseweb Data Center. I get 14ms

I completely agree. Remove the server selection and prioritize matching the IP address with your nearest player (who is also the player with the lowest PING). If the player cannot be matched, expand the matching range. This is what COD is doing.
This can also solve the problem of players in some regions not being able to match others, such as South America, Africa, and Australia.
And they really should replace Leaseweb. I used to play WT on this server, and I dare say that using a better server would reduce all players' PING by up to 30%
