performance/graphics
ive taken the plunge, i dropped from 2k to 1080p resolution...

it's actually not that bad, im able to turn up to medium settings and lower FSR to balanced (might even try turning it off) and its much smoother with little to no microstutter and sitting more at 100 FPS (capped) instead of like 80 (capped at 90)

anyone else decide to do smth like this?

i got:

AMD Ryzen 5 3600
16GB ram 1200MHz
8Gig AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT

in case anyone cares to know/compare. and no i dont get the dark shadows issue, or map crashes save one time, or any other real visual bugs ive heard about tbh...

By 2k do you mean 2160p down to 1080p, if you are needing to run balanced FSR to get playable performance at 1080p medium that is truly bad performance. especially for a game as competitive as hunt.

1080p With FSR on balanced is rendering at 720p and upscaleing that. 100FPS on a 5700xT at 720p isn't great, Technically that's worse performance than Cyberpunk 2077 at 1080p medium with FSR on Quality for a game that looks vastly worse.

From what Testing me and my friends have done Hunt Runs worse at equivalent graphical fidelity to what it did before, I mean hell i used to run completely cranked settings and get 100fps at 5120x1440 which is almost equivalent in performance impact to running in 3880x2160, Now if i run absolutely maxed out without DLSS on i get like 40 FPS tops. On very high I still run DLSS on quality because of how low the performance often is I now get closer to 90FPS.

But comparing high settings pre update to medium settings post update my friend on a 5700xt is getting worse performance and everything looks like a lovely thick layer of Vaseline has been spread all over it.

and my other friend running DLSS on a 2060 Super seems to be running into either compatability issues with the game or some kind of VRAM limit or something in some areas for some reason dropping from 60fps down to less than 30 in some places and considering how bad the game looks at the settings they play on thats real bad.

its capped at 100 so i might be getting more, but i do see it dip down to 90 something at times, so...

idr if i left it on balanced or turned it off, i'd need to check, but yeah, it's really not good performance, i hope they work on that after the major bugs like crashing.

friend of mine mentioned the game is barely using his GPU, it might be the game is, for some reason, not using much of the GPU, maybe that's something to do with it?

I have a RX 5700 XT and my FPS are over 110 most of the time (High graphics, No FSR, 1080p), except in some specific spots that everyone has some problems (my CPU is a Ryzen 3800X and I also have Resizable BAR activated). Finally, if the RAM is slow, recommended 3200 or higher, the game will get less FPS. The new game runs so much better than the old one, in terms of performance, despite the bugs and the UI, people needs to optimize their computers for gaming, no matter the specs, if that doesn't help, maybe the CPU is a bottleneck.

if the games not using all his GPU its either a CPU limit or his frame rate is capped and they are hitting the frame cap they have set

def not capped he 'likes when number go up' so he uncaps his frames on everything to see how high it goes.
