Would be my pick. Nothing's changed really, despite what the steam forums might have you believe.
Winfield
Everything Else.
Winfield is the new best gun in the game, it has a 20m death field with levering, and carries its damage and headshot way too far while maintaining high rate of fire to justify using any other weapons at the moment, the Winfield is just FAR too versatile, filling every role by itself except for 100m+ sniper, which is a range 90% of people rarely ever fight at anyway.
My main account sits around rank 50 on Leader boards for kills atm.
Winnie is hardly the best gun in the game, but pop off guy. You still have to hit your shots, and are easily outmatched in CQB by shotguns, and beaten out beyond 40m by literally every other ammo type.
It's about time Long ammo quickswap stopped being the end all be all of the game.
A man of reason 👍. All these guys whining about winfield lol. Winfield is still worse than any other rifle when ADS is required. Winfield still loses to shotguns and fanning pistols up close. So, all in all the winnie wins in a niche hip fire fight at roughly 16-20 ish meters. For those of us who can tell gun types by audio identifing possible Winfield engagements/compact ammo engagements isnt that hard.
in situ, winfield is viable now, but longrifle+dolch/fanning pistol of your choice still seems to be the BEST loadout objectively. and if you were even thinking about taking a winfield, the nagant carbine is still preferable anyway. but hunt in my opinion isn't about the meta, so i'll tell you that it seems 1.3 has made all guns viable and usable, but kept the meta mostly on dolch+longrifle if you're the guy to only play for efficiency.
