Hunt: Showdown 1896

Hunt: Showdown 1896

performance issues, stuttering
so, ever since the great new update that is 1896, i've been having problems with fps and stuttering. on mid and even low settings i have 50-60fps at the start of each game, but the second i start approaching a location, it instantly drops to like 18-25fps and not to mention stuttering.
i have rtx 4060, ryzen 5 3600 so idk if it's a game issue or my setup but it's been 1,5 months after this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ update and it still runs like ♥♥♥♥

i have good fps but my GPU is working stupidly crazy on certain screens and on old maps. On the hunter screen my GPU works at 97% when searching for team mates. Then also on old maps my GPU is at like 90%+ in certain locations. Its just poorly optimised i think as with majority of games these days.

Try lowering the VRAM usage target, the default is 80% which is what I was using but the other day I lowered it to 70% and the game has been a lot smoother.

lowering to 70% ram usage helps with the performance a lot.. it doesnt help with max fps but the fps are more stable and it doesnt drop down in fights for me anymore...

Okay, i'll try to lower the vram tomorrow. I lowered some settings and i did notice fps getting higher but the stuttering is still there :/

biggest impact on fps are shadow and fog settings... i turned fog settings to low, i didnt notice any visual change... i turned shadows to very high and it gave me like 20-30 fps extra..

but the problem with the FPS drops in certain area/situations remain.. its an engine problem.
