Why wouldnt Crytek do things like this they are a business after all.

If nobody buys the skins they won't waste time & money on producing them.

Modern day gaming is nothing like when you went to your local computer store bought a game and it was the finished article. Sure it's good they can add stuff later but how much content gets held back from games due to the fact they know they can sell it as additional content later?

I remember buying Street fighter not long ago in its release day. The character roster had greyed out characters on release and they were not even purchasable.

Blatantly already in the game but held back to sell for extra money

its not. i think it looks great. but because the very vocal elitists that want the game to die dislike crytek trying to bring some form of new life into the game, its bad and youre a bootlicker for disagreeing. because someone with hundreds or thousands of hours must know better than anyone else and crytek needs to give them exactly what they want or else theyll throw a fit on the steam forums.

Thats the issue though. They aren't weighing how many people they're bringing in vs how many they're losing with each change. Yeah they can do real clickbaity crap things in headlines to attract attention, but of those people who try the game out of curiosity end up staying vs the core audience who've been playing for years that end up leaving? There's ways to attract attention to the game without completely disregarding your audience with obviously desperate marketing.

236hrs in the game, when did you start playing Hunt and do you think the game is heading in the right direction from a stealth arcade shooter to run and gun everything?

You can easily find comments from 100s of players that simply quit the game because of the way it's going.

I'm a veteran of the early access days with over 900 hours and I quit the game when 1896 was released. I'm NEVER going back to this game, neither are over 10 of my friends who also quit permantently due to the necromancer changes, revive bolt, awful new UI, Ghostface and now Postmalone MADNESS.

over 2k hours ghostface skin matches the dark theme well and so does a circus ive even advocated for one for years. post malone already looks like he bases his normal daily wardrobe around hunt showdown anyways so he also fits. The only negative things impacting hunt is stuff like revive bolts. necro was in a good spot and they add revive bolts lol...

started playing in 2022, only in august have i really gotten into the game because i have a computer that runs it above 20fps and time to play it. the concept of playtime = more valid opinion is stupid, doesnt matter if i have 236hrs or 2000hrs. i think the devs trying to bring life into the game is a good thing because it means the game i enjoy gets to continue living and i get to keep having fun. i dont like post malone being in the game, but in the end of the day its a cosmetic skin that doesnt bother me as much as it bothers others. if people are so upset about the game and the direction its taking, they should stop playing and get off the forums instead of kicking and screaming when they dont get their way only to go "im glad the game died because i didnt get my way" or say "we" as if they speak for the entire community. its childish

Yes, it's quite literally the community that decides it. Time will tell and prove us right.

They launched Hunt 2.0 and lost all new players, check the steam charts. I'm so glad that Hunt will flop.
