Game FREEZE and CRASH
Hey, so I bought this game two days ago and it's unplayable due to constant crashing.
The game randomly freeze for like 10 seconds and then crash without any error messages.
I did some googling and a lot of people mention opening map and ongoing banishing in the match triggering this crash. For me it seems like the map or banishing has nothing to do with it. The crashed are completely random at any time - could be after 5 minutes of playing, 20 minutes, 30 minutes, up to successfully finishing a match, starting a new one and then crash again at a random point. The game never crash while I'm in main menu, always during a match.

I tried:
-Verifying the game files (all good, none replaced)
-Moving the game to another drive
-Reinstalling the game completely
-Updating GPU drivers
-Switching map from toggle to hold
-Disabling Steam overlay
-Turning off DLSS
-Changing settings all the way down to Medium (my pc can run High and above settings no problem)

Nothing helped so far. Looks like I'm going to have to refund the game or wait for some fix/patch.

If you experience this as well, please leave a comment. If you happen to know about a possible fix, please share it with us.

Specs:
Win10
AMD Ryzen 5 3600X
RAM 16GB
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080

I was hoping to see something simple like d3dx12 in the message. But with this you should ask Crytek support, maybe they can help.

Hi Bane,

do you have any updates regarding the issue?

I have the same issue. Yesterday was my first time playing HUNT since March and I had two random crashes in a 4 hour session with my friends. Both crashes happend during combat. The game freezes for a few seconds and then I am back on my Desktop.
I have no idea what to do.

Specs:
Win10
AMD Ryzen 7700X
RAM 32GB
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 TI Super

I have not tried anything to solve it yet. I will post another message when I finally found the time to investigate that issue.

Thank you so much for the information what you have alredy tried, so I dont have to repeat that.

SAME here, Game Freeze randomly and goes off.

My Girlfriend and I got many disconnects from the Server's and there it is, mostly we got Game shutdowns after the "no response of the Server" message.
Because the Hunters and Gear and loudout wasn't away after starting the Game again.

I think the problem is a bug by the Servers itself, they crashing since last Update really often.

Best example, we was fighting on a 2 Boss Map and got 1 Solo Kill and the trophy of one Boss for us two.
We was walking to the other Boss from the south to the north, and before we was close enough to open a combat, server freezed and both got a Hunt Shutdown.
After restarting the Game we had our Hunters with the Gear, as we started the last Match, with all Stamina Boosts and Reg. Shots in our inventory -> like we wasn't even playing...

Something is wrong with the Servers.

(Sorry not my best english)

Some user in another thread proposed to change memory. You can remove each RAM one-by-one to exclude bad one. If problem appears with both (most users have 8+8 or 16+16) then it's probably not memory. If you have single RAM just try with another from your friend.
Hope this helps.

I would suggest to unplug the motherboard and try to plug 56volt instead.
Then throw some coffee on the screen and mop in less than 3 min.
Once done, play without screen for 10 min !
Then replug everything together and enjoy !

Else OP may take advantage of a more reliable source without messing up with his rigs: https://www.reddit.com/r/HuntShowdown/comments/1gha8ch/hit_validation_and_trade_window_improvements/

Somewhere in the comment section, you will find a Crytek guy telling "We have managed to fix two out of three major issues that were behind those crashes and will be releasing the update next week. Stay tuned!"

Hope for the best for your situation OP.

My issue seems not related to the servers, my friends were still connected and I was able to reconnect after I restarted the apllication.

My issue is a crash of the application .

Every other game and application runs without any issues, i dont think my Ram is causing the issue.

I will check reddit thanks. The DEV comment you are reffring to is under a comment about performance issues on console. But hopefully the upcoming update will fix a lot of the known issues also on PC

This is Hunt mate, the legendary 4$ videogame, your experience with other games is irrelevant - trust me on that one, me and my buds are champions in crashing in this game because of various hardware related reasons:lunar2019grinningpig:

Hey mate,

I haven't tried much more than what I already stated in the first post.
Today I noticed my game was patching, I checked the patch notes and it mentioned some fixes with game crashing so I was full of hope. I went to test the new patch, at first it seemed like the problem is fixed, I was able to play for about 40 minutes without a crash. I got killed in a match and was spectating the player, I went AFK for maybe 3 minutes and when I got back, I was back to desktop again :'-)
I started the game again to test one more time and it crashed within 10 minutes.
Thats where I requested a refund from Steam. Might buy the game later in the future after more patches and/or more info on the problem.

(PS: To some people replying about hardware issue - I'm sorry but switching out RAM sticks, unplugging motherboard and what not is not my idea of fixing a game crashing. Not a single game crashed since I got my current PC (over a year ago) everything works flawlessly, only Hunt Showdown crash all the time, so I'm not going through the hassle of mingling with my hardware now because of one game..)

It appears you have trouble reading and/or understanding the text. I've spent quite a few hours searching forums, reddit, etc, to find a fix. I found quite a few answers and tried all of them, nothing worked. From 20+ games that I can think of from the top of my head that I played in past year - nothing was crashing - only Hunt Showdown. So no, I'm not going to play around with my hardware because of it.
And finally - no, I'm not going to "enjoy my crashes", your sarcasm is futile. As I said before, I already refunded the game.

Cheers! :winter2019coolyul:
