Complaining in forums is OK but how dare them leave a negative review, where it actually puts pressure on them.
I remember a post from someone who dabbled in Rust progamming and was able to make some proof on concept cheats and said it was surprisingly easy to build a cheat program that was not detected.
The people who they hired proably just review videos and ban some people where the proof is obvious. Technically fighting this is probably pretty hard and a cat a mouse game, but other games have to deal with it as well. I am 4* (3 currently) I do pretty much never think someone is cheating, I hardly ever see something that I can tell is cheating. Wellbangs make sense to me when they happen. But I also see the videos of people who post cheaters and I believe in 5 and 6 star its a different story about cheaters. They for sure are there.
I don't work for Crytek you dingaling. I just love Hunt: Showdown.
I don't want it to die. And do you think the people who gave bad reviews recently will fix those reviews if Crytek does a better job correcting the issue this next update? No, I bet not even 10% will revise their review. Having a 'mixed' score could spell death to attracting new players and Hunt doesn't deserve that.
Yea, but maybe Crytek should have thought about that beforehand.
Don't care about the issues your games has?
Well, then your reviews go south.
It was always like this and it is fair. Its nothing exlucive to hunt.
But games can recover, if they address the issues which are reasons for the negative reviews.. (one example is helldivers).
Even if people do not change their negative review.
Every Problem that is "resolved" will affect future reviews and give them one reason less to leave a negative one.
But if I get cheated away in one day and see that these people have just 100h in HUNT but VAC ban etc. then I have no fun and then I don't spend any more MONEY.
People who have 3000+h are big FANS of the game and are more inclined to invest real money but if there are RU/CN cheaters in almost every match and the servers are lousy then these people stop playing which means DEATH for a serious game. This is even worse than a mixed review status.
I think a huge amount of players confuse skill and luck with cheating, and with the way Hunt plays (with its slower combat), it lends itself more to these accusations than a lot of other competitive FPS' out there.
The reason I left a negative review is because of the devs changing things no one asked for recently, that don't make sense, and have impaired the balance of the game. My patience running out with the constant stream of bugs and terrible servers hasn't helped either. IMO a game that's been around for the last 6 years shouldn't be this buggy.
My biggest gripe is with the recent MMR changes, which IMO has made the game just a walking death simulator for me. It's simply no longer fun as I'm pitched constantly against players better than me (no, not cheaters). I don't want to be slaughtering seals, but at the same time I don't want to be pitched against sweatlords. I just want to play against equally matched players.
Ultimately, things can change for the better (and I really hope they do). I hope Crytek sort these things out, but I admit my faith in that actually happening is somewhat tarnished. Would I have recommended Hunt this time last year? Definitely. Would I recommend it now (for newbies)? Absolutely not.
also no, it really isn't given the response to cheaters is Cryteks choice.. and they chose "ignore"
Holy TikTok brain you have there Ron the goldfish.
