They arent going to do anything about it..
It just bothers me that I have friends with lower end PCs whom are running the game better than I can. Personally, if I am going to be forced to play with stutters & less than 60 frames, I say scrap this whole update and revert to pre-engine upgrade cus this is just.. S**t
Guess i just try to find something else to play..
Yeah the game used to be limited by the CPU mostly. with the move to direct x 12 the game could look better AND run better. Instead it runs worse and we need DLSS to even make it playable.
But then they use a three year old version of DLSS that has ghosting and generally isn't fit for a fast shooter.
I have asked them per support ticket, mail, on reddit, on instagram and on youtube why they use this version but they wont respond. Updating DLSS is literally just replacing a file. They refuse to tell me why they use this old version and why they don't use newer versions that look AND perform way better. It triggers me so much knowing the game could look so much better for literally free and its only their incompetence of replacing a single file that stops us from having a better experience.
yea.. no thanks.
Guess im going back to Delta Force!
I also run everything at very high across the board at 1440p with DLSS to Quality and frames capped at 120 (in game). If you have unlimited frames and v-sync that could also be a cause a frame drops / hitches if the FPS isjumping around too much and hitting the v-sync limit.
As an FYI, I have Intel i7 9700K with 32GB DDR4, Gigabyte 3080 GTX with 12GB and Hunt on a NVME M.2. Overall performance is > 100 FPS and haven't had any stutters with the above settings. Overall FPS is lower than the previous Hunt version but visuals are also a lot better especially render distances.
Also wasn't too impressed with performance after the update, so I also uninstalled Hunt completely include the user info that was left over in the game folder and reinstalled. Subjectively seemed to help smoothness but had no effective on the FPS. There is also a Hunt specific nVidia driver that came out, so if you update to the latest that could also help. Can't hurt most likely.
Only mentioning this as it is relevant to performance, I am also regularly streaming this game, However I experience the stutters even while not streaming.
thanks for the tip ill give it a shot.
