Pretty simple, because EAC doesn't really feature a proper active component, that can detect malicious activity as it happens. All it does is blacklist known cheats and maybe actually ban people on it's own on VERY rare occasions, probably just due to sheer quantity of reports. But I'm pretty sure 98% of bans are manually done by Crytek.

There was a guy on Reddit who developed his own cheat for Hunt. Guy did the most rudimentary thing, just accessing the game's memory and changing values. That is literal cheat engine ♥♥♥♥ and he pulled it off without being banned. Pretty sure he tested it over like a week as well, used it to toggle off textures, pretty much giving him a goofy version of wall hacks.

If you can just access the game's memory and not be IMMEDIATELY flagged and at least disconnected, your game doesn't have proper anti-cheat and needs to be looked at. Period.
