Obviously I do not have it on. Even in the lobby, even for people picking up bounty EVERYONE is shown as Unknown player to me. I never used "hide player names".

You can not hide player names in lobby so its another bug! I just tied and opened the team details screen while in the lobby. Pressing L does NOTHING. BUGFEST!

And that about these [nolocal] players I had them since 2.0 they just do not show any stats at all. Pathetic.

Its confusing, because there are now multiple settings.

SOLUTION:
Go to main settings => HUD => second last option.
This is the setting which turns off automatically from time to time.
And resolved the "Unkown Player" problem....

and there is a second option in the screen where you can see your recent match - to switch off the names there... but it seems, they are not connected to eachother, lol.

So only enabling player names in "HUD => Player Names" works for me... (and on a side note another example how bad the new UI is ... why is this setting in HUD? and not in the new "privacy" tab?)

Ah finally something helpful. I said it like 100 times in the since 2.0 but its mind boggling how incompletent these devs are. Holy ♥♥♥♥ this is insane. The game is still deved like a early access game.

"turns off automatically from time to time". I can not confirm this, but nothing surprises me at this point.

It was indeed switched off for me and I 1000% did never touch it. I might have accidentally pressed L or clicked the button on the screen to "hide player names" but if they are not connected? Nobody knows what weird bug Crytek presents us this time.

This still does not explain the [nolocal] guys who pop up regardless or this issue/setting.
