I've gone back to playing like a camper: I find the boss and stay there, waiting for other hunters. With shotguns, it's easy to win.
But outside, you don't stand a chance alone, especially because competent players in pairs quickly put you in a tight spot. You need 4 shots or 2 headshots, while they only need one headshot or two shots, but since there are two of them, your chances of defeating two competent hunters in an almost open field are only 25%.
I've had to adapt my way of playing, limiting my choices.
If you have some grand vision of being an epic solo player you’re gonna have to work at it. Otherwise team up with one or two others to cover your flanks and help you secure points. You’ll obviously have a leg up on solo players.
I'm fine with that but was that the intention of the dev?
Burning is also not too fast, it was basically useless before. The previous mechanics most players are probably too new to know about were better IMO. No necro, no chokes, reviving does not automatically put you out, and no reviving red skulled opponents.
