Game isnt starting since the 1896 Update

Since the last Update the Game is crashing without any error message on startup. I get a blackscreen with the "Hunt" Mouse icon, then the game just closes.
Until now i played the game without any problem.
A re-install didnt fix the problem.
Anyone got an idea?

We had this problem too, our "solution" was to delete the "USER"-folder in the game-data-folder .../steamapps/common/Hunt Showdown. Deleting this folder will reset your settings (!!!), so we backed up this folder before. I don't know, whether deleting this folder has further effects, my thought was that i can always repair the game files ;)

Afterwards change settings one by one and restart your game after every change to find the cause. In our case, it was DLSS, which needed to be turned off (for some reason only the game-engine will ever know)

I have this problem too . I updated my driver , deleted USER folder , checked the game folders on steam , tried windowed and fullscreen but no , none of them solved my problem . What should I try

did you check your firewall-settings, windows-update maybe. But other than that, no idea...

if the game show only black screen then auto close , try restart your pc then launch the game , and you can try to add in your allow list program (hunt.exe) in your antivirus

you're not the only one man
been unable to play this game since the update

i've seen the game director saying on reddit that they are aware of a black screen issue, so i hope he is referencing the problem we are having

ive been experiencing the same, cant play at all since the update. tried everything but no luck, just hope there weill be a fix soon.

the most common fix is to update windows
even if you have the latest version, you need to update still
