Hunt: Showdown 1896

Trades make me wanna stop playing
It happens regardless of which region the other player is in, so its not because of lag. The trade window needs to be reduced because trading should be a rare thing not an every game occurrence.

Yes trades are still ridiculous. That's one of the issues I hoped would get resolved with 1896 update.

Well, they are intentional by design and here for years so we gotta live with trades sadly.

Trades "feel" a lot worse and so does dying in general and by that I mean every time I die the game freezes for a split second. Happens with my teammates too. They definitely did something and it doesn't feel good.

server costs are probably cheaper this way

if you wanted to stop playing you would have

you wanted to complain and some attention, thats why you post

I mean what can be done about it? realistically if two people aim a gun at one another pull the trigger you both die whats the diff here?

Basically how every other shooter does it and Hunt used to do: invalidating the bullet due to one player being already dead.

This right here. No other shooter has such a stupid system in place.
More often then not I can predict I'm going to trade in cqb. Some trades are really nasty. I kill someone and his body is already on the ground when all of a sudden I die, because apparently it doesn't matter when you shoot as long as it happens within 800 ms trade window.

I dont want attention this isnt reddit and the current trade window is coded into the game to be 800ms which is wayy too long all theyd need to do is cut that in half and it might make a difference.

Was confused for a moment when people kept saying trade, I thought you were talking trading items like weapons and such, then realise your talking about lag/latency.... Perhaps crytek could adopt what steam have done in counterstrike 2, lag/latency apparently doesn't matter anymore with there new system, don't totally understand it, but the programming looks at the clicks of your mouse and the position of the character your aiming at and adjusts to your trigger finger the latency or something, in other words no matter who has what latency, it's evened out, so what your shooting at in real time reacts in real time and latency is compensated for. if that makes sense lol
Id heard of that when I played a bit of CS2 but I didnt notice it, probably because I never traded in CS anyway. Im thinking Crytek should lower the current 800ms trade window since that seems like an easier fix than making a whole new system to fix trades.
