Dt770 32 are acclaimed and really popular worldwide for both music and gaming. They have literally the same construction as they had for decades and they are still good.
But you should try them first - might be uncomfortable for your head or ears.
I use Equalizer APO
https://equalizerapo.com/
+ Peace Equalizer, interface for Equalizer APO
https://sourceforge.net/projects/peace-equalizer-apo-extension/
You can also search for ready to go settings made for your headphones to work with your equalizer with autoeq.app
https://autoeq.app/
But it also known that every headphones have their own frequency response which may be not that good. Ideally it's a flat horizontal line but IRL it will have local extremums so it's possible to find graph for your headphones model (or measure it yourself) and "fix" it using EQ.
But it also known that each human ear is unique and has its own unique hearing ability.
Main idea is that if you have troubles with hearing in the game you can actually "improve" the sound but you shouldn't do too much or you may lose some experience.
Good luck!
Could you share your settings? this is very new to me, so would be great to have a starting point:)
There are no settings that I could share with you.
Install Equalizer APO
Then Install Peace Equalizer
This is rather pretty straight forward operation.
After you have everything installed you can download preset from autoeq.app, but it is not needed, because you will have already many presets ready to go.
Just watch those tutorials, and I'm more than sure you will do it easily.

Or otherwise a 770 Pro if you can get it for a nice price. I am currently using a 770 Pro X and an Fiiio K11 and think the sound is really immersive with this setup. It's also what the CryTek devs used when they were developing the sound design for this game (The 770's I mean).
