Will pax trueshot replace the uppercut after bullet drop and its dmg nerf ?

Seems like a cheaper alternative since it wont be able to one shot hunters with one bar missing anymore. I dont know why they are adding bullet drop the the game where most guns are ironsights, you wont even be able to see your target while aiming above them at longer ranges. Scopes in this game suck, so i dont know what they were smoking with this "update"

I don't see a reason to bring it other than to have more spare long rifle ammo. Price just isnt worth it after the nerf and bullet drop. What are the two niches ?

Long range and Lon Ammo close/Spare ammo.
The Pax was already an alt for the Uppercut when needing a good range backup. The long range backup was taken by the Trueshot. Update is not going to change that.

If you take any type of scoped long ammo, the uppercut is the better backup for short to medium range and serve as an ammo pool. Update is not going to change that.

in today's meta the medium calibre is thrash and the long ammo is the only way to go. Low on cash -- winfield, cashed up -- mosin FTW. The medium guns loose almost all killing power further than 30-40 meters, and most of skilled firefights are played in distances 50-150 meters. Beside that long ammo punches through most surfaces which trivialise compound fights vs weaker calibers.

They swapped the Krags DMG with the uppercut. The Uppercut is still the 2nd highest DMG dealer for pistols (the sparks pistol being the highest).

What's the point talking about the status quo? With the new update compact/medium ammo will see a huge buff, because headshots are always guaranteed to kill (=no more soft headshots). With this the biggest downside of not playin long ammo is eliminated while still having a higher rof, ammo capacitiy and access to hv. Even tho the one tap potentional is still a thing it will not be as relevant anymore, because they will introduce more ways to get bars back. Which pretty much only leaves the superior pen power. Long ammo will prolly still be king, but only with a slight margin.

When it will arrive, we'll see. AFAIK all is coming to the glorious fall of Long ammo down from the meta. I'll be happy to mistake about it.
