I'd say the current PvE isn't much better. Had a boss get hung up and then couldn't collect bounty from it because the death animation was stuck on a loop.
This whole game is barely held together with popsicle sticks and chewing gum.
For real though why would you want a PvE mode? The PvE is barely even a challenge, so many better games to play if PvE is your thing especially if its for zombie killing or boss hunting.
Cant be that bad really. Most matches I'm in devolve into the first team at the boss compound camping it while half the remaining teams push in and the rest chill outside and wait. All while the clock ticks and the boss goes undealt with.
Everyone wants to farm kills over grabbing the bounty. Been in a couple where someone didn't extract because they wanted one more kill and the clock hit zero. One was right behind me and didn't make it. Another just stayed in the compound, clutching a bounty token, pacing around. Not sure if he ran out of boost and didn't want to die or what but he never made it out. His partner bounced out though when the five minute warning popped up.
Another option for a dedicated PvE mode is arming the Pistol Grunts with working pistols and these guys will definitely shoot you! But Gun Grunts won't have the same level of accuracy and proficiency with guns like typical human Hunters do, but are still a much higher threat than the grunts we have now. Other variations of Gun Grunts could include Rifle Grunts and Shotgun Grunts. All of this is very POSSIBLE as TARKOV has a single-player / Co-Op PvE mode for its game. Hunt: Showdown definitely needs this!!!
The game has pretty graphics, killer world building, design and atmosphere. Imagine playing hunt like actual hunters and not bunny hopping air strafing coca snorting psychos.
