Hunt: Showdown 1896
My thoughts about losing a char after death
Okay so I just started playing the more I play the more I started to like it However, The more I died I realized What happened to my DLC char. When I looked that up it says you have to buy it with Hunt money. That is by far the dumbest thing I have ever heard. Buy it then have to pay for it with in game $. Its quite retarded losing your stats sure why not but makes no sense to lose your char. As far as the store items. Like buying guns. Its the same the char WTF losing your gun which you spent real $ on is dumb as F.

As far as the gameplay I like it. I could see this more fun with 20 people on the map rather idk how many teams. sometimes feels dead

What do you mean 'it makes no sense, losing your character'?! When they die, they are DEAD!!!!
What'S next?! it makes no sense to lose gear? It makes no sense to have to kill other players? It makes no sense to Hunt the boss monsters? - there should be no maps! - there should be no enemies! - there should be no weapons! - all weapons should do the exact same thing! ---- The game is designed around permadeath and it's great!

You're paying with ingame currency to start with the 3 traits your new hunter iteration gets. :)

Never said that anyone cared or not about people or me buying DLC's or not. The devs hardly ever read steam fourms "Like every game IK they don't". I came here to express my opinion. I didn't come here to listen to others Write a essay about how they feel about it. I can careless about who agrees or disagrees with it. Nor how well written a message is to make someone look bad. Nor can I care for someone who had there feeling hurt about my feelings Makes me chuckle. Cheers
Welcome to the open forum. If you make the thread you have zero power on who replies to it or what they reply with. Being within the steam guide lines that is.

To your point, Noxx and many other gave the best answer. The economy of the game is built around buying new hunters and gearing them out. Its part of the experience and the core game play loop. This isn't a opinion but a hard cold fact. There are tons of FPS clones out there that don't have this feautre that would love your money as well.... If you can stomach the basics of this game however, Welcome to The Swamp :hunter0::prospectorthumb:
Yeah I mean I get it. i was just saying my Thoughts about it which makes it an opinion. Those who changed it up. Which made this post quite eventful. Anywho Id prob wont be buying much for this game after learning the recruitment system. But who knows later on I might change my mind.

I do get you though, this isn't the easist game to get into and I got quite a few friends that won't touch this game cause of the perma-death aspect of it. its not really that big of deal and there are games that are much much worse. Hunt is pretty tame on the degree of punishment for losing your hunter.

One way to look at it if you don't mind me suggesting, is since you will lose your hunter and gear, you should fight harder, move smarter and enjoy the victories more cause you stand to lose everything. Also, you fight to preserve your buddies as well if they are with you for the same reasons. So you might want to buy the one character you like the most and just play it out as if you got everything to lose.

As for buying DLC...... IMO old Crytek deserved it but the new one is Eh, but what you like.

Yeah!
I am in need of hunt $ XD been losing alot lately haha
You don't lose the skin when you die. You need to hire a new hunter.

The options are you pick up the tiered hunters who come with traits and a loadout.

Or if you want to use the legendary skin you need to use 100 Hunt Dollars to pay for the 3 randomised traits it will be recruited with.

The 100 Hunt Dollars isn't the cost of the skin, it's the cost of the 3 random traits. Which is why they all cost the same.

Hiring hunters is a core part of the game. And if you don't have enough to recruit a certain hunter, the game will offer you free hunters in the tiered recruit section.

I can play it just wont spend money on it anymore XD
my man you do realize you can re recruit a legendary hunter after death unlimited times for only 100 hunt dollars right? if you do and are saying that is somehow too much or gamebreaking im convinced you have to be trolling
a lot of them can also be bought with earnable in game currency so you have a good selection of non paid legendary hunters as well

lol XD an whats the point if its $100 hunt $? dang people. Might as well be permanently there. Whats the point of rehiring them if its just 100$ that's to easy to get. Which means Its a pointless step to rehire. This has already been explained. Thread should be closed.

Apparently I am slow. In fact, I am quite smart. Its called a pointless system. A extra step for no reason. To me you are slow. So technically "Touche"
