They would be showcasing the new map now if it was coming anytime soon..
The engine already exists for other games. Even Star Citizen used the Crytek engine until not all that long ago. They aren't coding a new engine, they are just recoding everything they need to in Hunt so that it works with a 6 year more modern engine.
The guys working on the Crytek engine have absolutely nothing to do with Hunt. If hunt closed down tomorrow, Cryengine would still continue receiving updates. They sell the rights to use it to developers, like Epic does with their Unreal engine.
As for the new map, this event's lore is talking about how the infection is spreading beyond the bayou. So the new map could technically be located anywhere they want.
