Not fair to who?
Try and play with ping close to 200, it's difficult to get mobs and it's way more difficult to shoot an enemy hunter - that's why I am so surprised that nabs keep talking about "ping abuse" which is bad only for the person with high ping.
Also information in person's profile doesn't reveal person's location.
Also Russia is really, really wide - some have ping better than EU players on EU server and some are like from japan
And still you play hunt and even have that dude from Hunt on your avatar...
Not fair to anyone, so your telling me its not enjoyable for either player playing? Then why allow it?
I know Russia is really wide, but as you said, EU to japan, so why they on american servers too?
Our Server!!! Do you own Leaseweb?
If so please do something about your dollar store servers
Don't worry, Crytek's going to make max ping setting in the next update so if person's ping is too high he won't be allowed to play on certain servers.
And again, person's Steam profile info doesn't show person's actual location.
Move to Region 2
Congratulations, you are region locked!
You know that's in place already right?
Also you can bypass it by being invited
No, that bearded dude from Crytek in recent video told that this system will only be implemented in the nearest future and you also won't be able to play with friend from behind the ocean on his server which has high ping for you.
They have said words for 6 years and have not actioned on most of them.
You can look back at previous Roadmaps to see how much vision they had for the game that never materialized into anything for some reason.
We are just a few months away from the largest upgrade Hunt has ever seen and a new map. Yet they are releasing videos about Anti Cheat.
That's an interesting point of view but right now I believe them. At least we can call that lad a liar if people would still be able to play with 200-300 ping.
He didn't say anything about exact numbers though. Just "high", "low" so we'll find that out in August.
I would expect it to be hitting Test Servers soon for rigourous player testing before going live.
Mainly because it would have to be in the test servers now in order to fix anything before launch. Keep in mind this is not a simple update that's adding a new boss or map. This is a complete overhaul of the game.
