Did they nerf melee range?

Ive knifed people across bar counters before, but I just had an instance where, with a hatchet, it failed to connect at VERY close range across a bar top

Yeh, I have played with hatchet last game, it miss in 2 meter, but hit in 1, so its or bugy or nerfed.
Maybe its time to write to Crytek site feedback service
