If you ask Crytek they won't give you a certain answer they'll just be like "We suggest against using it".
Same goes for steam if it comes to VAC protected games by the way.
HudSight is apparently whitelisted by EAC but that could change any second.
And only because "EAC" per se allows it thus does not mean that Crytek wants you to use it.
So if you wanna be 100% safe then don't use it.
They are cheating, But you're not going to get banned for using it. Since it overlays over the top of the game and doesn't inject any code.. If it does inject code then you could get banned for it. But I highly doubt a cross hair app will be injecting any code.. It will just be an overlay.
Just because it's an overlay (& not modifying any game-files) it does not mean it's allowed.
Any type of 3rd party software that could give you an advantage could lead to a ban.
It is considered cheating. Like adjusting your brightness to see in the dark...
If it overlays over the top of the game then it can't be detected... I still said it is considered cheating.. I'm just stating the facts,, The opposite of false information.
It can still be detected.
EAC checks for programs running in the background.
Saying "you won't get banned" is spreading false information.
You're just assuming things, & not stating facts.
Because fact is;
"Any type of 3rd party software that could give you an advantage could lead to a ban."
Simple as that.
Show me where it's written.
yeah ♥♥♥♥ it, not worth the it... don't want to risk my favorite game :)
It would require Crytek to specifically look for that program.... There's lots of programs running in the background on PC.
Took Crytek 6 months to remove ReShade from the EAC whitelist with full knowledge it was being used for cheats and aim bot overlays coded to look for specific colours in a colour blind filter...... How long do you think it would take them to find all cross hair overlay apps and add them to the EAC black list..?
Some of these Overlay apps are sold on Steam for that specific use of adding cross hairs to games that don't have them....
Those that aren't can lead to a ban.
No offence, but I don't think you really know how an Anti-Cheat-System works.
Only safe programs that inject code need to be whitelisted... Such as ReShade (before it got turned into cheat software) Programs running in the background will not be on a whitelist, they will just be ignored... Any program that attempts to inject code will be blocked by EAC unless whitelisted..
I think it's you that doesn't know how an Anti cheat system works...
Can you imagine all the random programs that people could have running in the background that would all need to be individually added to a white list or get banned...
LOL
