Hunt: Showdown 1896

Do my reports even do anything?
Looks, I get it. Crytek isn't always the best at handling all the issues that come up. But seriously, we need to have a talk here. With the recent events, we get a huge influx of new accounts joining the game. Ordinarily that would be a good thing, but it seems to do more harm than good on this game.

More recently here, it seems like almost every lobby has some very sus players in it. Every once in a while they are just blatantly cheating. This isn't coming from some new player who doesn't understand the game. It's from a player who has been playing since the 2018 early access launch with over 2000 hours in the game.

I have seen waves of cheaters come and go. This time feels different. I have never seen so many cheaters in this game. Perhaps the worst part of it is that most of them aren't aimbotting. I feel those people are probably pretty easy to catch. It's the ones who are using ESP that really seem to be the parasites here. Many times it just seems like players always know exactly what I am hiding behind, where my rotations are, or when I am about to pop out and take a shot. Most of the time they lack basic game knowledge on how to engage with enemy players. They are players who usually sit in one place and just continue to track me through anything. I don't know about you guys but when that heavy ash bloom kicks in I personally can't see jack crap past ~50m. Meanwhile, the cheaters can see me perfectly through the dense fog, foliage, and walls I am hiding behind. Perhaps some of these could be explained away by them using a scope, but nope! Usually they are just running irons.

This community has players (and groups)in it that have practically established themselves as cheaters. They post videos to youtube showcasing their blatant cheating, and yet they continue to play. With 1000s of hours and 10s of 1000s of kills. I know I can't possibly be the only person reporting all these guys. We're talking players with multiple game bans on record and VAC bans.

Even crazier are the ones using the obvious throw away accounts. Only owning one or two games. With hunt typically being the primary game with any game time. Running around with less than 1000 kills with 5+ K/D ratios. And again, I report them. Time goes by and there they are again, doing the same crap that were doing a week ago that I reported them for.

So it begs the question. Are you even actually going through these reports anymore? I am honestly starting to believe that you are complacent with the cheating. Or maybe you have just given up on trying to stop them. It is more obvious now than it ever has been. This game has a cheater problem. To what extent I don't know. Hard to say really how bad it is. That data is something only crytek or possibly EZ anitcheat would know. If the bans are happening, why don't you pull a EFT and publish all the names of the players who have been banned and release them on a weekly/monthly basis?

Right now the report system almost feels the same as applying to a job on Indeed. You throw your page into the pile, knowing full damn well that most likely no human will ever actually view it. Maybe if your're lucky 1/100 reports might actually have something happen from it.

Some feedback from developers on what they are doing to combat the situation as well as real data on the amount of bans that are going out would be greatly appreciated by not only myself but the rest of your loyal player base as well.

I am still enjoying the game overall and love the direction that it is going. But seriously, we deserve better than this.

The more false/incorrect cheating reports a player makes, the less emphasis the Crytek team will place on the report. In other words, don't report just because someone may have gotten a lucky shot etc. because you'll just be less believable if you spam reports.

Has Crytek ever said this?

lots of reports will result in many false reports
which means your reports will go lower and lower in the priority system
so if you feel like your reports don't do anything - well, now you know why.

No, they don't. It's a placeholder button. If you ever made some basic buttons in HTML that look clickable but don't really go anywhere, as in they aren't linked to anything, thats the thing you see in game.

there are many games ruined by reporting function like dota2 and cs go.
let them cheat let them play in 6 star while non cheaters like me play in 3 star. problem solved.

It doesn't do anything adly but nothing can't be done with this amont of cheater each game got this amont of it .... people shooting through bushes with exact location, try to shoot through rocks and insta headshot when 2 pixels dare to show off ....

Doesn´t matter since you can derank easily via clickplay or a 2nd account. Solo-necro with mulitple rezzes will do a lot to it too.
Crytek just doesn´t do much against cheating for years now, that´s the whole truth. It took the same years to get ride of reshade, their decision-making about hunt is aweful.

If many individual reports pile up; they work. However if there are only a few reports; they don't do anything. Don't ask how I know

But I legitimately hit those MMRs. Meaning I’m stuck with them. There is no where else to go.

Before this event 3-4 cheaters in about 2.5k hours. Now at least one everyday since last week. Today 3 in one evening.

4000hrs in. currently and "temporarily" in 6* now. never in my life i have seen the sh!tshow i witnessed today. i played today like after 4-5 days. played 8 games i think? 4 of them had obvious esp user. how i know? we got clapped hard and every single time all of us getting downed by 1 guy with headshots through walls or thick cover. i was sus so i took time to actually check them out and point proven in the next team fight they had. nobody uses aimbots in this game. but i would assume a huge % of people are using esp. profiles are either hidden or lvl 1 or 2 with only hunt on them. with high prestiges. how many lobbies ruined? meanwhile what is crytek doing? add more skins. make same copy paste events which further brings in these cheaters. i am pretty sure they know how badly they messed up with anti cheat on this game, hence they dont want to communicate or they choose not to, maybe because they are selling them esp for extra income on the side. also explains why they protect the privacy of these cheaters with their policies. i think i am on the verge of giving up lol.

Crytek supports the cheating, that's why there's so many game mechanics implemented to conceal and make reporting harder, ontop of literally having no anti-cheat and no releasing ban stats. Cheaters buy the game, buy skins, and contribute to player stats; maybe after a while Crytek will ban them, but then just rinse and repeat. Crytek makes money off of it.

If Crytek had an anti-cheat and cheaters were banned swiftly, they'd stop buying smurf accounts all the time and would refocus to another game, but then Crytek would lose revenue :(

They don't care, all funding of this game goes into Crysis 4. That's not official, that's a guess.
