Hunt sold over 6 million copies, but there's only 20k regulars

What happened to all those players? Why do we only have around 20k players playing? Where are the six million players who bought the game?

Why did they stop playing? What went wrong?

Stopped playing because of the cheaters and the fact Crytek won't fix their broken game.
5 Years and nothing has changed.

Some people have multiple copies due to being banned on their original, secondary and third alt accounts.

Server are trash and are unplayable 3to5 stars, cheaters are here quite heavely sadly...
30ms ping but mostly have orange/red rectangle
Eu serv are mostly cover by asian and russian....
And if not you get kill by a 5000 hours dude .... i know its a hard game if you play casualy but damn crytech are so far to do something good for players ...

39.2% reached Tier 2 bloodline rank
26.9% reached Tier 3 bloodline rank.
20.7% reached bloodline rank 100

That is massive drop off considering how easy it is to rank up.

Guess the game just wasn't for them or had issues that prevented them enjoying it.

Not like that doesn't happen with other games? Is that really shocking? This isn't a major title like cod, Battlefield etc

Yeah not saying it doesn't but it gives a more realistic idea of play base rather than number of copies sold.

We all probably have loads of games in our Steam library that have never even installed

Because they take their sweet sweet ass time to deliver players new things (im not talking skin dlcs)
imagine play the same 2 maps that are very similar, fight the same 2 bosses, for THREE years.. nobody can haldle this, its too repetitive.. even with the cool gameplay that hunt has, we need a fresh air
And also, they dont know how to balance new things. We had a hole event dedicate to rain, we were already exhausted, and still, we have a very high % of taking a raining map

Just a disclamer:
People talk a lot about cheaters, but dude.. in 2.3k hours i must have faced like 3 cheaters. There is a really big difference in a cheater and a rly good player.

I do get it, that crytek dont matchmake players with similar skills, and thats really a pitty bc it helps killing the game..
I feel bad for killing people way less skilled as me, because I know they are not having fun, i've been there..

I'm at 2500 + hours and been playing since Early Access. I have been killed by 100% cheaters twice since this event started, out of a few 100 rounds though

Previously it's below 10.

Hope this isn't going to be a common occurrence.

I have like 4 copies of Hunt across 4 different accounts to play in low elos and have fun

because when new people play they get recket by someone better then them then rage quit because they refuse to learn and adapt. like the slow/medium fighting speed puts off people and if they dont get a free trophy they go find a safe space like COD or Madden NFL.

It's really not that crazy. Compare it to anything other than the very top games right now. Similar percentages.

Little stuff added to the game over the life spam
Little variety in games
Focus on paid skins over all other content to milk player base instead of build new one

The maps in the game are very complex and definitely had thought put into them plus they are still actively making changes to them. They said we getting another next year aswell.

But 3 maps in over 5 years is very lacking.

Couldn't care less about new bosses as once you figure out the quick way of killing them they are next to no challenge at all and zero fun. Rotjaw is easily the biggest disappointment to date in Hunt.

It must be very off putting to new buyers of the game when they read the game has been out over 5 years and then see only 3 maps available.
