Hope everyone is ready for a whole new swarm of cheats that Aim Assist will make much more available.
yeah aim assist on PC will be the one thing that will break the game for me.
People on forums : "It's RNG and inaccurate bro! If you loose to it you're just bad!"
Me : "Won't be long till they add aim assist cause these kids can't be arsed to learn to aim at all. Just let RNGesus and the devs hold their hands cause they are bad. Can't play a FPS without winning by bullet spamming that carries you via pure luck is bad enough."
Thanks Devs, thanks for proving me right, yet again. It's confirmed everything I've thought since levering and dual wield got put into Hunt. The Devs have giving up on making a unique game. They've sold out, completely.
They've ditched the gun play that made Hunt a unique IP, in favor of trying to entice temporary sales and jumps from ADHD FPS players that jump form game to game. They play for 200 hours, then ZOOM off to the next hot thing FPS that dropped. Meanwhile the game they ditched dies cause they don't care. in the process killing the game because they no longer have a hook and reason for people to stay.
I assume that's what is driving them to do it. Crytek doesn't handle cheating and capitalizes off of cheating. They actively develop game mechanics to protect cheating. Put aim assist in the game and now it's even harder to tell whats going on during a match.
Edit: hmm why'd that double, fixed.
The best part is that there's multiple programs that allow a Mouse and Keyboard to be read as a controller, allowing the Aim Assist without ANY .dll changes, .exe changes, or more or less anything that's detectable to be accessed by the Mouse and Keyboard. All of the advantages of the controller while still having typical Mouse and Keyboard control.
We all know Crytek isn't going to do a damn thing about it after how long it took them to even do the most basic steps against Reshade.
Good call on how aim assist will make suspicious plays a dime a dozen. Crytek's gonna be flooded with cheater reports. Now no one will be able to tell if a suspicious death is due to...
A. awful hitreg
B. high latency
C. lucky shot
D. aim assist
E. actual cheats
What a cluster****.
I'm reminded of the fiasco that was Aim Assist on a game that died in less than a month : Hyperscape.
All on top of Kill Views being inaccurate, spectating being inaccurate, dmg report being inaccurate and no kill cams lmao Like it's astonishing in 2023 to play a PVP where every single aspect is chalked up to not working correctly lmao
That's the thing, they aren't with this decision. But then again, we already knew they haven't been thinking through their actions for some time now. No need to when people will happily buy cosmetic DLC and shower them with money that's clearly not being repurposed back into the game.
Holy swamp gas! I didn't realize there also were issues with kill views and damage reports. Fan-♥♥♥♥♥♥♥-tastic.
Speaking of damage reports, I've experienced some really funky ♥♥♥♥ with limb (non-head/chest) damage, especially with shotguns. I swear, sometimes arms, legs, shoulders and crotches act like Kevlar in this game. They should flatten damage across the whole body except for the head.
Indeed... the number of times i witnessed arms protecting the head of a crouching player... This game is full of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. An amazing idea and base finished with piss
The stream that was done yesterday has the Devs discussing it. You can easily access it from your library by click on Hunt, or just click the news section for an obvious and easy link to it.
