Some changes in the new update dont seem very smart
So for example if I take a Winny and a nagant, I only get ammo for the Winny from a box but if I take a Winny and a Pax, I get ammo for the Winny and the Pax from a box.

Why they cant make both opportunities balanced?

Devs made the mistake of adding sparks pistol to the game which was a super cheap alternative to the expensive uppercut, super buffing the resupply and ammo pool of the avto.
They're making the ammo changes to nerf the avto directly, but they're also trying to change how ammo types work in the game and are experimenting with lowering ammo but making ammo types more effective.

So basically ammo types are generally going to be better now but you get less ammo. No idea if them shaking this up will do anything good but I'm excited for fire ammo to not be completely useless

Using your example, in current update you get ~+12 ammo from a resupply and would never use the nagant. But then you would be incentivized to spam the winnie and only the winnie. Your pistol was only used for the ammo and resupply.
Not too bad just talking about a winnie. But its the same problem with mosin+uppercut and Avto+sparks pistol.

You still get a benefit of extra spare ammo from bring the same ammo type, but are incentivized to actually use your secondary.

Thats the thought process. Will it work? We need to see.

And im not sure but Fire ammo set you directly on fire within the effectice range?
For sparks thats like 40 meters so within those 40 meters you burn everybody instantly. Seems really strong for me.
Yeah I find teh new fire sounds annoying AF, with bleed you do not loose a bar if you have to run and hide b4 you stop the bleed, fire damages you for the rest of the game, do not like the change AT ALL.

Incendiary ammo sounds really strong. Hopefully they either nerf it, or buff the rest of the special ammo to reflect how difficult it will be to resupply. (slugs, spitzer, FMJ etc)

That's not how burn damage works. Burn damage starts at the top of your health bar and burns down.

I guess he means that that after one hit of the sparks one of your small hp chunks is gone and after that you are OHK for the sparks and this is ridiculous.

No he was just wrong.
But you are right, this could become really annoying, really fast

PS: Salveskin is gonna be a whole lot more useful now, especially in the time directly after the update

I already watched some streams with the new ammo. After one finished fight your hp is down to 50 without even one death and you have to extract, it didnt look like fun.

It feels like they will have to add a new way to restore health chunks if the Fireammo buffs turns out this oppressive

Can do the regen shots now effecting over burned chunks/bars... maybe..
i dont really like how they implemented it but i can understand why they did. its since in the high mmr everyone just brings sparks pistol to ammo pool for long rifles which is very annoying. IMO they should have just made weapons not share reserve and keep their personal reserves to themselves. such as if i bring the mosin and sparks pistol they both can only draw from their personal reserves despite both being long ammo
