When the fire fizzled out, was it AS he was getting up? or did it burn, then fizzle, then later he got up?
If it was the former, the fire goes out when anyone gets rezed. If it was the latter, then gotta be a hack or bug, because once a hunter is burned out as a solo, they are burned out. If they are in a duo/trio though, if someone has the bounty, they can still be revived.
Setting traps on them and burning them is the easiest and surefire way to deal with Necroers. You'll get some nice audio cues they tried to get themselves up and likely kill themselves in the process.
Treat them like they have teammates that are trying to Necro revive from a distance and you'll find there's not much of a difference dealing with them. Except they're easier to camp because there isn't actually another player trying to get them up.
if they have resilience they rez with 100 hp so some traps wont always kill them and they can tank it if not double trapped or missing less than 100. Burning sorta just forces the hand on the revive.
arguably easy to deal with when you can camp them and have a bunch of utility ready to go, any other scenario its straight up toxic and not good game design.
anyone who argues the ability to revive with no drawbacks other than "i'm an easy kill just camp me" doesn't play enough hunt matches to see how flawed of a mechanic it is. not including they can trade and get themselves up before a team rez.
Many times i've traded just to stand back up and blast the other 2 unknowingly and completely unaware. I've had teammates instant necro from range and it still can't compete with solo revive. I solo dabble every so often and it feels cheap as hell trading or wiping a team by doing so because i give no information or penalty to revive that a teammate would to try and get me up, solo's also play with lower star lobbies so 4-5 stars play with 3 stars its disgusting especially in a game where experience is a huge factor.
