Why the new roaming boss will NOT be a crocodile
Crytek is very intelligent in leading us astray but they always show through that kernel of truth in each of their posts. They've been hinting at crocodile stuff so much that it's obviously a red herring and it should be pretty obvious by now what's actually happening. The new roaming boss is...

...Scrapbeak!

Think about it, seriously - What do you find all around the map? Crocodiles? No. Crows? Yes. What does scrapbeak do? He roams around and collects things. Why would he not be a roaming boss to begin with? And further, this brings in new gameplay opportunities of the map slowly being looted dry not just by players, but by bosses as well!

If it really were a crocodile, Crytek wouldn't be hinting this heavily at it at all. Obviously, Crytek is using this red herring as an opportunity to provide free alternatives to the most popular skin, the croc, so that players can experience that part of the game in a competitive way without having to pay money, all while keeping players invested in the game's development.

It's a perfect strategy, and it's very clear that the new boss will NOT be a crocodile! If you agree, sound off in the comments so we can all finally agree on at least one thing in this community!

Personally doubt its Scrapbeak and it probably will be a croc..im more interested in the 'roaming boss' mechanic and the rain conditions than anything else and i hope it isnt buggy upon release and doesnt tank my pc

watch the new trailer on 25% speed on youtube. its a gator with metal on it, maybe from a botched trap.
Kangaroo Salesman May 26, 2023 @ 9:02am
Well you're right it will not be a crocodile. It will be a gator, as the info leak months ago stated and the trailer showed.
EHOTLOVEA May 26, 2023 @ 10:39am
because the focus is still on dlc, i think they will just switch from water devil to additional gator but not what everyone wants.....cheap "we do what community wants"...
