Was The Bomb Lance Buffed Recently?

I'm playing again after a decently long hiatus and I've been killed by bomb lances, specifically the projectiles, quite a lot more than before. I've been stuck maybe 6 times in the past 2-3 sessions which is kind of alarming.

Has the projectile speed been improved? Or am I just getting a weird unlucky spat as I shake off the rust?

It seems like every team is running 1 or more bomb lances now. I'm very weirded out.

There is a quest line that asks for getting kills with a specific bomblance skin. Might be increasing usage of bomblances resulting in more stick attempts.

Yes and no. Bomblance received a major buff with new special ammo types but that isn't why everyone is using it.

People are using it because there are quests where you need to use it in order to complete them.

Ohhh. Here I was thinking there was a buff to the projectile but I guess it was this good all this time and I was just lucky it wasn't happening this much sooner. lol

I've had the opposite, feels weaker now.

It's probably feeling stronger because it's required for a lot of quests - So a lot of players are using it, so you're running into it more often.
