Hunt: Showdown 1896

Can my PC run Hunt?
My rig is:
GPU: GeForce 1050ti
CPU: Intel i5-8400
Ram: 16GB

Was wondering if I could at least play Hunt: Showdown. I know it be on low but that really doesn't bother me since I never really care about how good a game looks as long as it's playable. I can play other newer games on this PC fine (newest being RE4 remake). I'm just looking for something else to play other than Dead by daylight and Hunt always looked fun to me.

Google for "Canyourunit".

Yes, but you might you might get drops below 60 fps. GTX 1060 6GB can run Hunt at 60 for sure.

To purchase and try, you can first try the beginner tutorial to see if your computer can play. If so, the multiplayer mode is also the same, because the map of the beginner tutorial is a multiplayer mode map.

You may need to adjust the game's graphics quality, but you can figure out if you can play within an hour and consider whether to continue playing. If you really can't play, you can apply for a customer service after-sales refund.

I personally think so.

probably yes. because hunt is cpu intensive not gpu.
I played it with I5-7400 and 1070 6gb until I switched to ryzen 5 3600

Yes, I had a slight worse cpu and 12 gb of garbage ram and was able to run the game at 80 fps, dipping to 60 (but that was during the fire event)

What version of Operating System?

I had a 1060 3gb with a 6700k years ago and it ran hunt easily at 60

1060 is a lot better than 1050 ti. Though, you might had to lower textures from high at 3 GB, but shouldn't be a problem with 1050ti, since it has 4 GB.

There will be an engine upgrade in the future. So now yes, sooner or later probably not.

You should be fine but a GPU and CPU upgrade would be worth it. If you can get a 2nd hand i7 8700 / 8700K or an i9 9900K CPU at a reasonable price as a drop-in upgrade for your board I would. I love my Intel Core i9 9900K; it's no longer the latest but its still a real beast and been a perfect drop-in upgrade for me. Just make sure your cooling can handle an i9 9900K as these powerful CPUs run HOT! The i7 8700 / 8700K is probably your safest bet as not all motherboards can safely run the i9 9900K. As for the 9th gen i7 9700 / 9700K, not worth it as they lack HyperThreading and not as good as the 8th Gen i7 8700 / 8700K.

As for GPUs, I would definitely look at an RTX one as the GTX's are pretty well outdated. Hunt is moving to the latest generation CryEngine in around a year from now, maybe sooner and will surely take advantage of all the technologies we have on the RTX such as Ray Tracing, DSR, DLSS, etc. I run an RTX 3060Ti and it's a great GPU for the money.

If you don't mind buying 2nd hand, consider an RTX 2060 Super, 2070, 2070 Super. Also as some people are upgrading to RTX 4x000 GPUs, good deals can be had with RTX 30x0 GPUs, especially with retailers clearing them out for the new RTX 40x0 models.

Ones I recommend the most: RTX 2060 Super, 2070 Super, 3060Ti, 3070Ti

Not the best value even though not necessarily bad GPUs: RTX 2060, RTX 3050, RTX 3060 8GB / 12GB, RTX 3070. The 3060Ti I have is nearly as fast as the 3070 but costs $50 to $100 less.

If you do buy used hardware, especially GPUs; be careful especially considering used GPUs may have been heavily Crypto mined on. Good luck and good Hunting 👍

Love to upgrade and I been looking into it but I'm hold back due to the fact I have a pre built Dell tower. Alot of parts can't fit in the tower I have. For example had a friend give me his 1070 but I can't use it bc it's way to big for my tower v.v

The 3060 and 3060Ti come in shorter variants.

A case is cheap to buy though, compared to pc parts. SO assuming dell's proprietary motherboard doesn't fit the case, which is unlikely (and even if it is you got a case for your next build). The only annoying part is taking out all the parts from your old pc (usually zip tie for cable management).

I used to use a 980TI to play hunt and it ran a steady 60fps (with r9 3900x), 980ti is equivalent or slightly worse than a 1070

Yup, assuming the motherboard and power supply isn't proprietary, he should be fine to get a new PC case. I personally like Fractal Design cases; overall easy to work with, decent quality, and ones like my Fractal Define 7 Compact (D7C) are nice and minimalist looking.

Unfortunately they are proprietary. Trust me I have my research about all I could do with this PC. Pretty much I'll have to buy/build a whole new PC. Since I'm unemployed and living at home with no vehicle I can't afford much. I'm making due with what I have.
