I mean think about it, snipers can hit you before you can even see them, and keep running away, so you'd NEVER go in a compound with that. And shotguns can OHK without aiming up close, so why would you ever go outside?
The answer would be to balance those guns or remove them, but lots of bad players use them as a crutch to hold up their MMR and KDA, so they can't do it now as most of the players who used skill have moved onto other games, and just Cod and BF kids are left for the most part.
So as said, advantage:
1) Its better to meet people at their arrival when they haven't took any cover yet.
2) Leave them lesser space to manuever. If you're camping main bulding you leave enemies everything around and they can perform whatever plays they want. They can even trap exits.
3) people do not expect you to be outside of banishing building, it gives you a great opportunity to destroy them when don't even look at your direction.
4) mostly immune to throwables spam.
5) you will have to come out eventually anyway.
