Should dragons breath be considered incendiary ammo?
It's kind of weird that dragons breath isn't classified as incendiary ammo so you don't get quest progress on the event quests of doing damage with incendiary or full metal jacket. Personally I think it should be considering technically there is no real difference, they both cause fire damage and both can light your target on fire, dragons breath just has an almost guaranteed chance to light players on fire. It was just a bit of a surprise to find out Dragons breath didn't count for the quest.

It's just weird that there is a quest to light hunters on fire and to do damage with incendiary or full metal jacket ammo and not allow dragons breath to be apart of both, I know you can molotov players to light them on fire but the incendiary ammo doesn't always light them on fire so we basically just ran Dragons Breath on one of us and incendiary ammo on the other till we got light players on fire.

you need to deal a specific ammount of damage with the fire rounds to set them on fire.

romero77 and spectre are "reliable" when it comes to setting enemies on fire.

How much damage? Because I was using the krag with incendiary ammo because I wanted to use the krag and it rarely set people on fire. Krag does 123 or 124 damage I can't recall exactly.

I dunno.

Sparks pistol isn't considered pistol damage.
Lemat Shotgun damage is not considered shotgun damage.

I am fine with their reasons for such but they should really change how things are worded or something to makes things more clear.

I agree, I can kinda get why some stuff is different but at the same time not really. One reason because game mechanics and the other, realism. I get the game is a arcade shooter but some stuff just makes sense not to be technical about.

I'm 99% sure what @Rollout said is wrong.
Wether you light someone on fire with Incendiary or Dragonsbreath ammo isn't determined by how much damage you do, but by how many shots you hit.

For Incendiary ammo, you need to hit to hit 2 shots in a row, somewhat quickly. I'm not sure about the timing, but I think it might be related to the charred health bar. If you get hit with incendiary ammo, it burns of a small part of your health. Getting hit again while your health are still charred sets you on fire, I think.

Dragonsbreath requires you to hit multiple pellets. Not sure if it's similar to Incendiary, where it works off of the charred healthchunks or if it's really just the number of pellets hit. In any case, the better your shot lands, the better the chance they will burn.

dragons breath is counted as a shell while incinidary is counted as rifle / pistol bullet (should be the same for real life)

it actually makes sense considering the krag 2 special ammo types is incinidary and FMJ (other quests involve the krag so that is the connection here)

while dragonsbreath is a shell used for shotguns, sure they both deal fire damage but they arent the same type of bullet / ammo

the quest were probably bugged for you then, the sparks pistol does count as a pistol and works for the quest (i used it for the quest). also the lemat carabine should work aswell, in fact the lemat carabine counts as a pistol, rifle and shotgun. type "rifle" or "pistol" into the search bar and you will see that they count.

well not sure about your explenation either since bornheim sometimes needs MORE than 2 hits while the rifles seems to do that with 2
