Iron sights on scoped rifles

Let me use the iron sights on scoped rifles where the scope is on the side of the gun. I think it would be pretty balanced because you would have two aim zooms but there would be a scope blocking a third of your screen when using iron sights.

It would make sense, the offset scope was meant to not hinder reloading or the ironsights of a bolt-action. But yea, likely not added due to balance concerns. Tbf I think it would be balanced for the reasons you mentioned. The scope would block a large portion of your screen.

Would be some really neat attention to detail though.

Red Orchestra had a good system for using iron sights with scopes. It was useful strictly in CQB

damn i wish this was a thing with how atrociously bad the games inventory system is making you drop a pistol that somehow gets counted as a primary slot weapon for no apparent reason when you find a scoped rifle

Bit of an old thread but the only time you would ever drop a pistol when picking up a rifle is if it's either duel wielding with no Quartermaster or if it's a LeMatt Upper which is a medium slot. Unless you're talking about the precision variants which all have stocks and those are all medium as well.
