Long ammo has no downside

lets be honest, compact and medium ammo has no real use in 6 stars lobbies

Mosin and Lebel are fast enough rifles to make winfield worthless. Can deal high dmg and kill on hs unlike winfield and any other compact ammo rifle.

So what about removing compact and medium ammo and just replace them with long ammo so we change meta for a bit?

There are people in Hunt that struggle to make money so the free and cheap loadouts are more suited to those in that bracket. Changing the game to suit you and other 6 star players would be a very idiotic move. I understand that you'd like more options for long ammo but it can't come at the expense of everything else.

You have two choices, you can continue using long ammo weapons or you can try and adapt the smaller calibre weapons to make them viable. Yes, it will be more difficult but if you're in 6 star lobbies then you should be good enough to make it work with a little extra effort.

tbh, ppl complain about every gun for every reason. ive been playing the game since like 2017 before its full release and its changed a lot but... ppl still complain about

shotguns
melee weapons
poison
long ammo
auto mosins
environment being too OP
not enough ways to make $
being bad at the game and going against ppl who are good

the common denominator in all of these complaints:

skill issue

Another downside is fire rate
Minus fanning

The ammo types, compact tends to have weapons that cycle rounds faster

Medium is kind of middle

Long is guns that have longer reload animations, but I also know they have added new guns over the years that help make this better.
Plus some guns, yes are better for this like mosin for example with stripper clips your character uses are amazing, but again the gun cost like 400 hunt bucks compared to what 39 for a basic Winfield rifle.

I will say the main thing I have noticed (only ever a 4 star max player here)
Long rifles with scopes, if the player is good can dominate people.
ALOT of people at my level are dumb enough to attempt to square off with a winny no scope vs a level with scope lol
I always face palm when I see this.

Know your build, you don't push an open field with a shotgun, you push boss lair

You don't push into a boss lair against a shotgun user with a lebel or mosin lol

Most people I see complain about shotgun users in game are the guys who push a spot with something they shouldn't.

I also hate 4 star even because games become a camp fest, everyone is to afraid. That's not for me
So I play very aggressive and stay in 3 star. It's more entertaining for me, more enjoyable and why play a game if it's not fun?

I suppose you haven't seen people in 5 and 6 star lobbies crutching the Officer Carbine and wiping lobbies with them. And we aren't talking about streamers.

Long Ammo is great, expensive and worth it. But if you aren't seeing long ammo in your games, you aren't looking hard enough imho.

Long ammo shouldnt have a downside ITS LONG RANGE AMMO

apart from a few exceptions lo the rule long ammo is the primary gun ammo while the compact is your pistol rounds where medium ammo sits as an inbetween

all long ammo weapons are on the expensive side of thing as they are rifles your primary go to weapons

and so are most shotguns and even if not something ike the romerro only has 1 round and sure its got better range than others thats its only redeeming qulity for being a sparks like shotgun

long ammo doesnt need a nerf compact / medium need a buff or better yet no change at all

it would be pretty stupid if a pistol was as capable as a rifle regardless of range

doesnt remove it from being a balancing fator. also there are some players who dont have all the money in the world especially newer players
