wdym don't accept new steam account? so people who want to challenge themselves are not allowed to do so? just because you get stomped doesn't automatically mean the enemy players are cheaters, jeez

They're saying that we shouldn't allow people who create a fresh steam account to use as a throwaway account on Hunt to cheat. Cheaters have been especially bad this weekend. Realistically the cheating needs to be addressed, some of the accounts that don't bother to be smurfs or hide their profile openly mock the anticheat with thousands of hours on their accounts. Dismissing people calling out cheating shouldn't be such a gut reaction for people.

Heres some intersting info. Crytek weekly hunt clips steadily features 2 known cheaters in the community. One of them being RachtaZ who was discovered to have vac bans on his steam.

Does crytek care? No, they actually promote his channel. Its messed up.

Discord "huntshowdownpolska" one of the Administrator's team has ban EasyAntiCheat in Hunt: Showdown game and what? nothing, ppl still dont know about it and join on voice channels. Administrator & cheater name is Axis and Ceo Przemyslaw has free boost in game from Axis and he still sitting on Admistrator's chair

I do get that cheating on a throwaway account is bad and needs to be adressed, but I haven't noticed any cheaters on this weekend, so I don't know what you're talking about. And there's no rule that you're not allowed to have a hidden profile or smurf either.

dude there are people with 9000 hours that cheat from 2019, they dont even need to hide (see videos on youtube) and they dont get any ban.

I can't say I regularly encounter people I suspect to be cheating in 1000 hours. Every now and then I see someone with really good aim but nothing impossible, just a little suspicious. I don't think the cheating issue is as huge as people say it is.

It is that bad.

Here is a reminder to any dumb ♥♥♥♥ who comes to this thread spouting that there aren't cheaters in the game should actually remember that they did post how many accounts they banned in April 2020: https://www.huntshowdown.com/news/what-we-re-doing-about-cheaters-playing-hunt-showdown

"A few numbers from the last few months:

- January: 430 players banned

- February: 443 players banned

- March: 566 players banned"

January - 4504 average players, peak 9065 players - 9% of average player count "banned" 4.8% peak "banned"
February - 5487 average players, 12428 peak - 8% of average player count "banned" 3.6% peak "banned"
March - 6019 average, peak 12856 - 9% of average player count "banned" 4.4% of peak "banned"

I put banned in quotations because I'd say most if not all of these players were not permanently banned because Crytek is too brain damaged to actually do something of the sort.

There was also a post on the Hunt Reddit that literally just showed someone cheating and not being caught, because EAC is incredibly easy to cheat in.

This Game is infested with cheaters, just because u didn't noticed them, doesn't mean there aren't cheaters.

Especially on High 5/6 Elo, always a pleasure to get wallbanged from a Steam Account which isn't older than a year, and only one Game in their library

Those types of posters are usually the ones doing it and just trying to gaslight everyone into thinking there isnt' an issue. Also they bring up "Challenging themselves", as if Prestige just doesn't take everything away as it is lol

Nah, any steam account should be allowed to purchase the game. I am not down for preemptive discrimination because people are afraid of an imaginary cheater plague. You don't know if its just people discovering steam for the first time etc.

Also, vac bans from years ago don't mean anything. Technically, a vac ban from yesterday does not mean anything if it is from a different game. Sure, you can judge their character but nobody in their right minds would block game purchasing from that person before they even did anything in their game.

By the way, stop being paranoid weirdos. There is cheating in every game and I won't downplay the issue but don't act like you play against or with a cheater every day (you don't) or even every week (you don't). Good players find success in this game relatively easily which is a pretty given sign that the games "cheating problem" is not super existent as you think it is.

Borderline moronic comment. The dude is a good player who provides good content and because he got a vac when he was 16 (5 years ago) now hes scum? *eyeroll* You are absolutely useless to the community and game.

A Steam account that isn't older than a year, but you also have to add in, their Hunt profile is brand new (if it's not set to private) with a low amount of kills, they have a ridiculously high KDA and are often playing with other Hunters established Hunters with ridiculously high KDA's.

It's quite apparent that they are new accounts to circumvent cheating.

You ever hear the line: "Once a cheater, always a cheater?" It applies.

Though, RachtaZ is a legit player, it used to be that you had to watch out for the BreadBoyz because they were the only ones who cheated, now, you can simply just search of "EAC Bypass" and you'll get pages of free bypasses for one of the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ anti cheats known to man kind, a kid with a sock 'em bopper would be more effective at anti-cheat than EAC is.
