There is sway of course.
I can't think that's my imagination, unless it's form me firing a bit too early where i can scope back in but the gun isn't fully reset to it's original center from recoil yet and the scope and actual aim-point are off?
There is enough jank and nonsense in this game mechanically that I think that there probably isn't any ADS spread but something that ends up feeling like it. I think that the moment a bullet is produced by a shot might suffer from a sort of desync that causes it to "fire" with varying timing due to server quality. I can't be sure though since I'm not 100% on if a bullet is normally fired on hammer drop or during the actual muzzle flash but that's the best explanation I can think to give based on my own experience.
From previous conversations seen on the Official discord it is when the muzzle flashes.
If that's the case I think there's a very good chance that I might be right about shot mistiming being a server issue.
I see folks have reactions like this all the time, and when I see a clip you can see they fired like right at their head but the person is like 80 meters out and they used a springfield so travel time made them miss; or they twitched or just barely fired over a shoulder or something, etc... it's usually explainable they just didn't catch it in the moment.
I don't use scopes in main game unless it's quickplay. Can't justify the extra cost for a scope usually.
I dunno man, but if I saw it I could probably actually provide some information.
With scopes it's probably related to travel speed. You can crouch walk or stand up to avoid a springfield headshot at like 40 meters for example, bullets are that slow.
