well, check your hardware.
A sudden shutdown is a protection mechanism of your system to ensure nothing breaks.

It's either critical temperatures (use HWinfo to check them), your PSU is on its way out and needs replacing or try to update your BIOS.

Hi I have the same problem. Have a new pc for two weeks now and the pc is randomly shutting down when hunt is running. No blue screen just turning off. It happens 4 times in the last two weeks. Twice today. All temperatures etc. are fine, all drivers updated. Can you share your specs?

My specs:
Win 11
Gigabyte x670 Aorus Elite
7800x3d
7900xtx

with specs like that, I would check your crash log in windows. I assume you already checked temps with something like a hwmonitor, to see the temps of things like the gpu memory and hotspot as well. Also, be sure to get the newest bios for your mobo, I know they were having problems with the 7800x3d overheating and damaging the component itself.

The crash log doesnt say anything relevant to the shutdown at all unfornutately. I have the latest bios update also the problem with the 7800x3d was just with Asus and ASrock Mobos. Thats the latest news I have about that.
For me there is no explenation I would assume a blue screen if its a software problem caused by hunt in any way. But the fact havin hunt open is the only thing reoccuring when this shutdowns happens (not even in round but in menu or even tabbed out watching youtube) ALso having played many hours dead island 2 and cod last 2 weeks no problems there. Maybe coincedence idk.

Hard to say man, So far you two are the only ones voicing this in the forums. So I'm not sure if it's a hunt problem or a hardware one. Have you frame capped in game to see if it still happens?

Frame capped to 165 in adrenaline because I have a 165hz monitor. Ingame its capped to 180.

If you have your pc in use for a long time and haven't cleaned your gpu drivers once that might be something to look into. Search how to completely uninstall your gpu drivers with DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) and give that a try. )I had some nasty bluescreens while playing hunt before i got a new graphics card. I used a gtx 1080 for 5 or 6 years and always installed the drivers on top of each other that lead to instability, after using ddu the problem was gone.

I would bet thats its a 50:50 because of your PSU.
Your hardware suggests a really high load that can fluctuate and many (older, and cheap) PSUs just trip out.

I have a Straight Power 11 850w Platinum about a year old no problem in my old system.

850w is not much for your system.
It could actually be that the psu is very strict and as soon as you consume 1watt more on a single rail it trips resetting your pc.
Some psus have „better“ stuff allowing them to overdeliver on their rated specs

Hi, sounds like you both are having voltage problems. That behavior is found when your psu/power can not fulfill to every component in your PC. Try veryfing your PSU health or buy a new one. I have i5 13600k, rtx 3080 ti and a Corsair 1000w and barely make it alive with power consumption. If you are running an expensive PC you can buy a P3 Kill-A-Watt to physically check your total system consumption, or enter outervision/power-supply-calculator web page to calculate your voltage usage.

i got a r5 5600x with a rx 6800xt 600 watt easily gets it through. i dont know your components power draw butt 1000 watt seems kinda overkill tbh.
