Could use recommendations for Steelseries Sonar GG

I just bought a Steelseries Arctis Pro Nova headset which is highly regarded. Overall the sound is great but I am having a difficult time hearing footsteps from Hunters. I hear of some players claiming they hear Hunter's footsteps like 150m away but I think that sounds a bit too good to be true IMO. Do you have any suggestions in what Windows audio settings I should use, Sonar GG settings to use? Or suggest something such as Equalizer APO? I am by no means an audio expert when it comes to tuning sound settings, but I do have a keen ear for high quality sound. I am currently using the Arctis Pro headset via the included USB DAC that has an ESS Saber audio chipset but I also have a dedicated Asus Xonar DGX sound card (currently disabled in Windows device manager) as well. Any suggestions or help is much appreciated.

There is hunt: showdown presets on steelseries sonar. Maybe try that?

Tried it but didn't make a difference. I returned my headset for a refund. Thanks for the help though.
