Huh? Yes, Solo Revive is perfectly fine and fair.
You can also just burn his Body after you killed him, put Traps on his Body, use Concertina Stuff etc etc.
Its your fault for not burning his Body.
You don't understand what is being said.
When team mate dies it puts the remaining player at a disadvantage when the body gets set on fire forcing the remaining player to let their partner crisp or choke them which will expose their position.
So the balance is fine as it rewards a solo player who can kill one of the duo with significant control in the flow of a fight. So the high risk has a high reward.
There is no risk in using self revive and in fact punishes legitimate play. For example if I get a sweet head shot at range on a solo and they have self revive they have just taken my sick play away from me at literally no cost to them at all. It's just free.
It slows down the game flow for every player and gives huge advantage to solo players to fight and beat teams at range because they can keep getting up for free so it actively encourages solo players to fight long range battles where they can get huge value out of self revive which is far more powerful than a team revive.
Just seems like people these days have no idea about game balance at all..
It's countered by the resilience trait.
Necro, Resilience, salve skin, health is all small chunks then play snipers and get near unlimited free lives for no risk. If anybody gets close to you you force them to camp your bod until it burns to a crisp...
It's not balanced at all....
So, let me get this straight and im taking the Point you just made.
Wheres the difference between YOU Sniping a Solo Player from a long Distance that revives himself to YOU Sniping a Teamplayer from a long Distance that gets revived by his Mates?
I just dont see any difference here? In both ways your sick Shot has been taken away from you because the Guy you killed got revived.
Which in BOTH cases can and will happen.
In all my games so far, it's worked against me ONE. SINGULAR. TIME.
Yet people are complaining about it which is hysterical to me. Do you know how many times I've died to fanning? To levering? To a surprise quartermaster shotgun?
Necromancer is good for making solo a somewhat tolerable experience, at the cost of your MMR and KDA basically. That's all it does, it mostly just re-kills you. I've farmed a TON of necromancer solos, died to them once.
So there is no reason to remove it, or complain about it being "unfair" it's basically good for making trades not be the most annoying thing as a solo player; or letting you stay in those big huge violent multi team fights a bit longer sometimes. That's it, and that's a healthy af trait for the game imo.
Who said that anything has to be fair. As for self revive. they have to have a perk, they have to have bars leftover, and they have to be alone. That is a bit limiting, but it isn't too bad if the player gets decent at playing solo.
As for them reviving whenever they want, no they actually have to wait ten seconds before they can revive, and they have to have bars left. If they burn out, no revive. If they get downed enough times, no revive. If it hasn't been ten seconds yet, no revive.
Most importantly, while reviving, they have the same stand up animation as everyone else. So if you are being aware of the bodies, it's a free kill. If you had to walk away, well then they have a better chance, but they have still been downed already. They have lower maximum health and are easier to down again.
It is not the most pleasant thing to realize that solos might still be out there after you kill them but it is not something that has no counter. I do think all the solo perks together are a bit much as teams of hunters are supposed to be teams and a solo shouldn't have more power than a team, but that is a combination of things and is almost payed off.
It really isn't the solo revive that is a problem as you might expect all people to be revived. It's the bad solo play that is a problem. There are several behaviors that really are disappointing plays and show that they aren't hunting, they are just harassing other players. Those have to go.
The team mate would have to go to the body to revive them, Also it would be less likely you'd engage a duo at range for that exact reason. Unless they were spaced out and I could use one as bait as a sniper would I wouldn't engage a range fight against a duo.
If it's not fair then the game is not balanced. There is no point in playing a game or being involved in anything that isn't fair. As a game is about a show of skill to prove who is the best etc. If the game is unfair then that can never happen in fact it will have the opposite effect. It will reward those with the least amount of skill and promoting the worst aspects of human nature. The whole point of any game or fight is to create a level playing field so that greatness can be achieved. If the game is unfair all of the skill less cowards and just trash of society will all use unfairness to rob all the greatness from competitive play.
The problem is that it's useless in most situations and the only places where you can get real value out of it then it becomes insanely unbalanced. There is no middle ground. It's either useless or unbalanced.
It just forces solos to play long range to get the most out of self res or play in prearranged solo duos / or just team in general. It also forces everybody else to take load outs and waste time dealing with it.
Why do solos need a self revive? Because I can't think of legitimate reason of why a solo player needs self revive except being bad at the game and you need a crutch..
Cant revive within 10m of another hunter
Each death increases the time before you can get back up again.
Each revive burns 50hp, flat.
(and mby cant revive if burning)
= Balanced
Not balanced... You get free revives if you're downed at range. How is that balanced?
It can't be balanced. It's either useless or you get too much value out of it for free.
Don;t engage duos at range.
