i can hardly disagree on this.. i can show you multiple videos of my plays where i played two single chain pistols with fmj blasting through whole wooden compound and killed multiple people.
i would be pissed as ♥♥♥♥ on the other side if i would be killed by this. I normally don't take fanning, but if the hunter comes with it, i play always two single chain pistols, until the character dies and use him to collect expensive loadouts.
It works unfortunatly quite well, if you fan down people even on higher distances
There are more annoying things than fanning. Like snipers that remain at 150-200m and refuse to play the game.
its a legit no skill trait that works as a clutch with little to no downside, maybe im just used to everyone using chain pistol dumdum ammo or something so thats where my frustration is at but it takes little to no skill
sure theres positioning but lets be real its only used when someone gets rushed and caught off guard or fighting someone with a shotgun
i mean i argue it takes more skill to do that but even then its not really skilled its just a lucky kill because you heard someones footsteps
with how inaccurate the weapon is and how obvious sound is from a single player spamming FMJ through a wall at avto speed it just spray and pray, compare that to a wallbang with a lebel or something that hardly means anything
and as you said it works quite well as they probably have no idea your through the wall and they just get sprayed by a inaccurate high firerate weapon through a wooden wall
sure its still "skill" to hear someone through a wall etc these days but ito say its skilled or well deserved is an insult when compared to your usual wallbang
It just gives rifle users a better chance to deal with someone at close range. For me, fanning goes wrong 50% of the time, I generally consider it a last ditch panic fight to the death type of option, it isn't really something id actively choose to use all the time.
Also as others have said, its not cheap, and there are plenty of powerful traits to take, honestly ive had as much success with taking quartermaster and a mini romero
always my first Trait pick if i go for a long ammo gun (mosin / lebel)
Theres a reason 3* players think it's bad but it's always taken in high mmr, but personally I only take it if its given to me for free because I like to use my secondary to fill me with more ammo.
Ammo nerfs will make fanning more meta guarenteed.
