WHY WAS ANY EFFORT WASTED ON MAKING MOUNTAIN MAN GAY?
HOW IS CHANGING A HUNTER TO ACCOMODATE 1% OF THE HUMAN POPULATION AND 1% OF THE CUSTOMER BASE GOING TO MAKE HUNT MORE SUCCESSFUL?

Nothing expect getting into LGBTQ more. Like i hate that they go for the most cheapest way of doing it. Just making a old character out of the blue gay. Like they could have made a new hunter with a cool backstory (yes i do watch lore videos about Hunt and HazmatFTW has one of the most fitting voices for Hunt lore videos you can have) were that character trait bring hardship but also that the character has no problem with it because of love (being openly gay back in the days was not a thing people did without suffering hate from other people)
BUT WHERE IS PROOF THAT MOUNTAIN MAN IS GAY NOW? I WENT TO HUNT TWITTER AND DIDNT SEE ANY THING MENTIONING THIS
Gay characters only take half damage when shot from behind.
Evolutionary psychology say that homophobia evolved as a survival advantage because promiscuous sex spreads disease. They also say the religious societies that condemn promiscuity out compete liberal societies because they have less disease burden. Disease burdened promiscuous tribes get beaten in war by healthier tribes who do not tolerate promiscuity. That's the scientific explanation for homophobia evolution anyway.
So if the mountain man has to be gay then he is celibate because he thinks it's a sin against god and natures laws.
There's an INFERENTIAL REFERENCE to HOMOSEXUALS in the OPTIONAL LORE TEXT of a LEGENDARY GUN in the LEGENDARY SUB-TAB of the STORE TAB, which LITERALLY NOBODY USES because you can just buy guns FROM THE EQUIPMENT MENU!
THE HOMOSEXUAL AGENDA IS SHOVING IT IN OUR FACES NOW! RIGHT DOWN OUR THROATS! IT'S UNAVOIDABLE!
I am definitely being normal and logical caring this badly about this single sentence of lore text about a character whose entire prior characterization was a single paragraph, with 5 barriers of entry for anyone to even see the lore text after this event!
Jokes aside, I don't get the issue. I mean, first where is this coming from? I haven't heard anything about him being gay. Are you just making this up?
Second, even if he is.... so? I've seen multiple people claim they are upset they made an old hunter gay. So, is the issue that you like playing this hunter, but now that he's gay, you don't want to play him anymore? In a game with no voice lines or anything else where who he is attracted to is ever going to come up or have any impact at all on gameplay, not playing a character because it is briefly mentioned that he is gay in some backstory text somewhere....
Well, that would say something about you. Something ungood. A word people don't generally prefer to be called.
It'd make more sense to refuse to play female hunters if you are a guy. I mean, not a lot more sense, but I could see it if you liked to roleplay your character in voice coms or something. I can't pull off a girl voice, either.
