Framerate limit in lobby
Hi all, I want to suggest that devs add framerate limiter specific to lobby. At the moment my game runs uncapped at 400+ FPS in lobby. Nobody wants nor needs that excess heat and power consumption of the GPU. Thx.

Please try limiting the frame rate in the in-game image settings

Use RTSS and Limit the FPS your self!

The framerate limiter is already in the game and it works in the menu as well.

I wouldn't recommend using any 3rd party framerate limiter (same goes for the limiter in the drivers) unless there's no other choice, because it adds input lag and it's very noticeable in this game.

"Just limit your fps", and every time you start a match, remove the cap, brilliant and not dumb at all

Any reason to remove the cap? I don’t think you have 400hz monitor, just limit fps in the game to 180

or... just leave the cap on all the time? I keep mine limited to like 144 or something. Seems to work fine
I cap at 120 fps on a 144hz screen to stop tearing
I get tearing at 144 fps
Agree. They need separate framelimit for lobby.

Not the solution to the problem. If I limit the FPS under graphics settings, my framerate will be limited to, let's say 180 FPS, which is not what I want for 2 reasons:
1. My GPU can pump out more then 180 FPS.
2. I have Freesync premium pro monitor.

I don't use RTSS and even if I did, it would not solve the problem as I explained to user Face SOLO bravely.

I know, but that means that I would always have to go to settings, activate frame limit when in lobby and then once in-game, go to settings again and deactivate the frame limit, so that I could benefit from all FPS my GPU can give. Not practical.

Exactly, others don't seem to understand it.

My GPU can run more then 180 FPS, but even with 180 FPS limit, it's still too much of a power draw to ignore, for no reason at all. Remember guys, you're not fighting anyone in lobby, except yourself maybe if you're crazy.

Even with Vsync @ 144Hz?
