4G vs 5G
Yeah don't preach to me that using a wireless hotspot to game with is absolutely trash and latency will jitter. I know this. 🤣

Its all I have available to me at this moment in time.

I never realized actually how bad 4G is I literally cannot connect to any server and ping shows a minimum of 1388ms to US West. But have full bars for a signal.

5G is down to 89ms on 2 bars and I can connect but it is very jittery and spikes up (to 201ms) and down constantly as expected for a wireless connection.

Is there anything I can actually do barring sit my hotspot in the window and hope for the best?

Yes and they said I should connect using a IEEE 1394 Firewire cable.

This place has been so much nicer blocking that account. Now I don't have to see the toxic baiting posts.

I played on 4g for a while having stable 30 ms, try a different network, put the phone to a different corner on something high to make it receive the data from the antenna better and then get the data from a cable that connects your pc to your phone to minimise latency, or change operator, you might also get better results switching to 2.4ghz instead of 5 or vice versa, also kill EVERYTHING in the background that uses your internet, you just want hunt to use it and nothing else, no discord, no steam download, no chrome on youtube, nothing. all you can do realisticly.

Thanks for the info. We need more information on this thing.

I was using my phone for a hotspot once aswell as my router broke down.
I was using 5G and had a stable 60ms - with 4G it was basically the same but way less bandwidth and I couldn’t watch videos beside hunt without packet loss.
So I think it’s on your end / your isps end.

Luckily it was only when I was working away from home.
I don't see what Verizon could actually do about it though. It's literally pulling a Pooled WAN IP address so any change they wouid make wouid affect every single user in that pool.

They are certainly not going to do anything that drastic to their consumer base.

It was marginally playable on 5G but 4G was absolutely no go.
