Hunt: Showdown 1896

Blood bonds for the game.
At the end of the movie "Titanic", Jack will die and Rose will be saved.

old system was handing out free real world currency, so less real world income for them. yeah it's a game, but it's a business first. renting servers from a hosting company costs money. paying all their employees costs money, etc, etc. this isn't fornite where a big enough community keeps the game flush with cash on buying skins, emotes, loot crates, etc. in comparison to cod, fornite, val this is a much smaller community so crytek needed to make changes to keep the game running and to keep developing content.

I am perfectly fine with having one less toxic mentality around so feel free.

The average collector should abandon this game. They only did this because they know that some players place great importance on collecting skins, some even compelled to do it. As such they are trying to target and prey upon those players and try to convince them to open up their bank account.

Point is they switched to a predatory system, you've done a good job recognising that you are one of those who they're trying to prey upon. My overall point here is if the collectors move on from the game the changes they made will only harm them.

That said it might be offset by the amount of non-collectors that suddenly decide to buy Blood Bonds to get 1 or 2 specific skins.

The constant output of paid DLC was probably doing fine for money as all the collectors always brought them and they can turn out a skin pack every few weeks. They even raised the price of the DLC. They've been ramping up the greed since late last year.

Even more cheeky is you'll notice that in the battle pass, the premium one has an exclusive hunter in it, so effectively you have to pay 2150 more BB for that hunter (Sure there are skips and XP bonuses obtained as well, but those have no value as event points are earned for free over time, and the average battlepass player doesn't need them to complete the pass.).

Except even in Free to Play games you can earn premium currency. Slowly... but you can still do it.

Hunt is a fully priced game. With tons of overpriced DLC skins and BATTLEPASSES ( 15 euro ) if you want to get all the rewards and XP boost etc.

It seems like smart people left or whales are not buying enough because it's never enough. Companies need to earn more each year eh?

I dunno I'm not the Dev but I'm sceptical and quite frankly don't trust Crytec.

Calm down, only just loaded the game, they did very little to indicate what is unlocked where in these events. You have to find that you can buy it separately in game yet is advertised on the premium pass in all the promotional materials, you can see why a player can get easily confused by this, removed that paragraph as it was inaccurate, doesn't change the rest of what I said though.

Thing is - I'd support the BB changes IF they had addressed many of the QoL requests community has.
MMR system rework / cheaters / insane reshade settings / reconnect system / stable servers / region lock which also tackles some of the desync and ping abuse topics. But guess what? None of that's been even mentioned. I used to buy few DLCs just few months ago, but seeing what they're doing now - there's not a single penny coming outta my wallet anymore towards funding crytek's greed. If this is the path they want to take they'll just end up with the same EA/actiblizz/riot reputation. I sure hope they turn around on this in the next update and add the bb acolades back in, but I highly doubt they will.

A very interesting monologue, I stopped reading after the first 10 words. This is a paid game with paid content that I bought for real money. And there is content that could be obtained through the game, now the game path does not exist, there is only donation. What am I wrong? moreover, DLS is now more profitable to buy than things for bonds. complete failure

Poor little 6th top selling company making 10+ millions PROFIT a year needed to cap the bbs at 50 cents a week to survive after 5 years of being profitable :( https://store.steampowered.com/charts/topselling/global

I agree with every word.
Ordinary banal greed, nothing more and nothing less.
