Can anyone explain how a website like VeteranCheats operates so openly, has a discord, has customer service etc and yet nobody can do anything?
Cheating in video games is theft. The consumer pays for a certain experience and then the consumer is robbed of that experience. It's no different from paying to see a show in the theater, only to have someone sitting next to you blow an air horn throughout, or someone throwing paint all over the screen.

Yet cheating in video games is so easy. You can search any cheat on the internet and the business of selling cheats is right there in the open.

So what is going on? Is it that developers don't mind cheaters? Is it that cheating in video games isn't considered enough of a crime to bother? Is it simply total incompetence from whoever should be prosecuting this as a crime and shutting down websites? Who is supposed to be enforcing some kind of standard on all these people selling cheats? Who?

Funny how a website can be scrubbed from the internet and deprived of patreon/banking/various transaction services for various politically BS reasons like "hate speech," yet cheats for video games are openly and easily available.

EDIT: I think cheating would go down dramatically if people behind cheat websites started going to jail. Simple as.

From the Code of conduct that everyone agrees to when they first launch the game. Pretty cut and dry, and if Crytek cared they could persue the issue.... If they cared.

Also, to those that are saying altering client side to cheat and such... if its multiplayer and that cheater is affecting my time in the game, they are breaking the rules cause it effecting me and other people. The company should be able to legally go after these people, and I think if a Game company would hold to their guns they would actually win.

I also think that if enough scum bag cheaters get sued and have to pay big fines, the cheater problem would drop pretty good. Who is goin to buy a cheat and then get banned/sued for a $100+ fine ??? Go after enough little fish and the school will disperse, going after the cheat creators would be great... but lets be real here,if we wait on the world governments to come together to combat illegal online activity.... The second comming is much more likely to happen first.
Cite the law that says you aren't allowed to make other people unhappy in a videogame.

What are you talking about? Code injection is client side, you are not affecting the server in any way. The program takes the information from the server, which isn't supposed to be displayed for other players(i.e. player position) and displays an overlay over your game.
No, if it was client side you wouldn't be able to change ammo values or health values. You're thinking of regular scripting/aimbot you can just get publicly.

Cheats are clientside and copyright doesn't say anything about modifying things you bought. In fact there's been multiple cases saying that you ARE allowed to modify things you bought even if it breaks the terms of service of whatever you're modifying, such as this:

I know nothing of EU law, nor claim to have

That's exactly why it's client side. You are changing health and values on your hunter, which is the CLIENT(which would see you banned near instant if they have any sort of client server reconciliation built in).

I would urge you to do a few internet inquiries using the search engine of your choosing in order to learn more about the subject. Cheating in hunt is exclusively client side as you are using the information the server transmits for your own gain and aren't sending instructions to the server in any way, shape, or form.
Why do you guys start an argument over every post? Can't you try and get along? The OP was giving his opinion. If you don't like it then ignore it.

"exactly this" what? What is "hate speech"? Who determines what is and isn't "hate speech"?

You can block the offender, you can't block the cheater.

Seems you're still the one needing to "grow up". You're talking about words hurting your feelings, yet you're still to define which words are supposed to be "hate speech".

Also, free speech.
