Stop forcing us to watch ♥♥♥♥♥♥ streamers.
Some of us are grown ass adults who just want to play the game... when you offer exclusive content in the form of a twitch drop... it means for those hours we are not playing due to how much bandwith a stream eats... so this means for 4 - 6 hours, we don't get to play if we want the exclusive ♥♥♥♥... I'd rather just buy it for blood bonds or something... its actively making the game worse by forcing participation in negative aspects of the community and game.

Grown ass adult complains about twitch drops due to bad internet

Grown ass adult doesn't realize you don't need to watch anything, downgrade the stream to 144p, mute the tab in the browser, not the stream itself, and move on with your day.
Dino 2023 年 2 月 28 日 上午 11:09
Steams don't take up that much unless your internet is like baddddddddddd
Also if it is that bad, just put the stream on the lowest quality, also doesn't stop you playing single player titles

I'm on the ropes when it comes to Streamers. On one hand, I see steamers as very bad and sometimes cancerous for most games. However, on the business/life-span of the game, using them for free exposure to a vast sea of 'gamers'.... its brilliant.

@Sin of Cain: I actually feel bad for streamers. Yes, the money can be good and they are playing a video game. Thats the thing though, they are not playing a video game, they are working and competing against a impossible boss/competition. They can not enjoy the game, they can not be themselves, they can not relax, they must perform for the show must go on..... Money can be good though :steamfacepalm:
They could always... Get a job? Lol i have zero sympathy... They are cancerous to games.

My god, nobody is forcing you to watch stuff. It's a bunch of mediocre skins, stop whining so much.
You'd think a "grown ass adult" wouldn't throw a temper tantrum about missing out on meaningless skins in a videogame
I came from an era where unlocking skins was... Part of the game... The game is making me do dumb ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to get said skin that actively impairs my ability to play it...

I said I'm a grown ass adult because the average twitch viewer is 8-12 and I am too old to be sitting in a chat with a bunch of rubber mallot squeaking children... Its annoying that in order to unlock something I have to assist in marketting... They could use the money they get from skins to advertise hunt rather than making another crysis remaster...

I rest my case. Having a fit cause someone is jealous. So sad, they make a living playing video games and you can't. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cry a river.

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Depends on the person. A lot of times people take the streamer as "no longer enjoying the game" because they complain about bad balance or this and that. Truth is they complain cause they still love the game to pieces, just want to see it do better.

Most streamers aren't just "acting" for the camera. Sure, they're entertainers, doesn't mean they have to be actors/actresses.

Would you say the same to an actress or actor who does that for Disney movies? They dance for the attention of young children and middle schoolers on the big screen. Going to berate them too?
If you're in a disney movie... You're making enough money to not give a ♥♥♥♥... The average twitch streamer actually doesn't make a living so I'll admit telling them to get a job isn't exactly right... But it still stands... They make money off playing something that was better when it was a pass time... And their existence is a net negative on gaming as a whole... Turning it from something fun... Into another job... They're a metric into making things live services and a giant clout chase that encourages cheating and people striving to make money rather than enjoying said game.

Also acting in a movie requires more talent than being a face in a corner window setting up parasocial relationships for tweens to obsess over.

Quite a few streamers make enough to live off of. Their existence is a net positive. Going to tell me a friend of mine who streams Final Fantasy 11 that well over 20+ years old is a negative for the game? New people find him all the time, get into the MMO, and have a great time playing it, even though it's "past it's time." He makes a living off it.

Lots of streamers also offer tips, tricks, hints, help getting into the game. Which makes many games more accessible for others wanting to get into it. It only gets forced into a job if they make it as such.

Not all streamers are parasocial. I've seen countless and countless times where streamers meet up with viewers, other streamers, even full on relationships and marriages. Stop focusing sole on negatives. It's like everything, there are negatives and positives. Look at the positives and the negatives, you'll find it isn't as bad as you make it out to be.

What warped sense of reality do you have to even think to compare and actor to a streamer. I thought I needed to go for a walk.

I am going to get banned for this, but this is all an elaborate way to collect data and then use it for profits. No one cares about gamers beyond how much money can be milked out of them. The more ignorant a group is the more exploitable they become the more they fight between themselves the easier it becomes. Gamers are prime targets for this type of marketing strategy. Since everything is digital and monitored.

Remember how tabacoo companies use to advertise smoking to kids? This is the same thing there is just no evidence of video games being detrimental to people's health. When in reality it is people mental health that truly suffers.

Take the tinfoil hat off buddy. I hope you also get pissed off at people who "waste their time" watching TV or movies.
The Sin Of Cain 2023 年 2 月 28 日 下午 2:34
I don't get "pissed" that people watch streamers i just think less of them. In other words... you pay attention to streamers marrying there fans... go for a walk make real friends.

Here I am giving you seriously valuable information and you are blowing it off because you want to keep lying to yourself. This is why I don't care lmao

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B29YStCYorY

Haha. You're not giving valuable information, you're just being an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ because you want to demean people. What's the matter kiddo? Boss piss you off at work? Coworker make you feel less than? Girlfriend or wife make you feel like garbage? Come to the forums to trash talk like this just to feel "better than others"?

Also, just a FYI, Twitch and watching streamers, I have made real friends. Met them on twitch, found out they didn't live too far, like 20 minutes away. Met them, we went out for drinks. Had a good time. I live in Salem Ohio, he lived in Alliance. (No, this is not a doxx of me, it's right on my profile where I live.) This isn't the first time. Also have met many many Twitch friends and streamers at conventions and such.

My girlfriend and I also met in a streamers chat. She had family near where I live, casual chatting about where I live and she was like "Oh I've got family there! I'm visiting them this summer!" Next summer, she comes over from where she's living now, visits her family, and we make arrangements to see each other hang out. One thing led to another, ta-da.

Sorry to pop your little bubble, but you shouldn't be thinking less of anyone. You're just being an ass for no reason.

Its hard to put into exact words, but i do think they do 'enjoy' the game they are playing... I do disagree though with the actor/actresses part... they are playing that part. When a person relaxes they have human moments, they will say something they don't really mean, they may do something that isn't them, they may act a way that is normally them... We all have those moments and its as natural as breathing, however, when your in front of a stream for long periods of time.. they have to act a certain Socially sensitive way.. Cause, and I think this is the most disgusting part of it all, Society today is pretty toxic and high on itself.

People don't forgive or forget and these steamers risk that every day. That pay check is there, but it is very easily taken away and except for a very few of them, that check can be taken away with a single word or motion. I thank god, my ability to feed myself and family isn't dependent on that kind BS Inhumanity

@the Great Canned: I watch steamers alot while i'm at work at the hospital, (normally not PvP though, shows like Game Grumps and Markaplier) along with alot of other youtube broadcasts/documentaries. Its another form of entertainment, and just cause you don't like it doesn't mean there isn't a place/time for it.
