Someone give that guy a Jester reward
Grown ass adult doesn't realize you don't need to watch anything, downgrade the stream to 144p, mute the tab in the browser, not the stream itself, and move on with your day.
Also if it is that bad, just put the stream on the lowest quality, also doesn't stop you playing single player titles
I said I'm a grown ass adult because the average twitch viewer is 8-12 and I am too old to be sitting in a chat with a bunch of rubber mallot squeaking children... Its annoying that in order to unlock something I have to assist in marketting... They could use the money they get from skins to advertise hunt rather than making another crysis remaster...
I rest my case. Having a fit cause someone is jealous. So sad, they make a living playing video games and you can't. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cry a river.
Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Depends on the person. A lot of times people take the streamer as "no longer enjoying the game" because they complain about bad balance or this and that. Truth is they complain cause they still love the game to pieces, just want to see it do better.
Most streamers aren't just "acting" for the camera. Sure, they're entertainers, doesn't mean they have to be actors/actresses.
Quite a few streamers make enough to live off of. Their existence is a net positive. Going to tell me a friend of mine who streams Final Fantasy 11 that well over 20+ years old is a negative for the game? New people find him all the time, get into the MMO, and have a great time playing it, even though it's "past it's time." He makes a living off it.
Lots of streamers also offer tips, tricks, hints, help getting into the game. Which makes many games more accessible for others wanting to get into it. It only gets forced into a job if they make it as such.
Not all streamers are parasocial. I've seen countless and countless times where streamers meet up with viewers, other streamers, even full on relationships and marriages. Stop focusing sole on negatives. It's like everything, there are negatives and positives. Look at the positives and the negatives, you'll find it isn't as bad as you make it out to be.
Take the tinfoil hat off buddy. I hope you also get pissed off at people who "waste their time" watching TV or movies.
Haha. You're not giving valuable information, you're just being an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ because you want to demean people. What's the matter kiddo? Boss piss you off at work? Coworker make you feel less than? Girlfriend or wife make you feel like garbage? Come to the forums to trash talk like this just to feel "better than others"?
Also, just a FYI, Twitch and watching streamers, I have made real friends. Met them on twitch, found out they didn't live too far, like 20 minutes away. Met them, we went out for drinks. Had a good time. I live in Salem Ohio, he lived in Alliance. (No, this is not a doxx of me, it's right on my profile where I live.) This isn't the first time. Also have met many many Twitch friends and streamers at conventions and such.
My girlfriend and I also met in a streamers chat. She had family near where I live, casual chatting about where I live and she was like "Oh I've got family there! I'm visiting them this summer!" Next summer, she comes over from where she's living now, visits her family, and we make arrangements to see each other hang out. One thing led to another, ta-da.
Sorry to pop your little bubble, but you shouldn't be thinking less of anyone. You're just being an ass for no reason.
People don't forgive or forget and these steamers risk that every day. That pay check is there, but it is very easily taken away and except for a very few of them, that check can be taken away with a single word or motion. I thank god, my ability to feed myself and family isn't dependent on that kind BS Inhumanity
@the Great Canned: I watch steamers alot while i'm at work at the hospital, (normally not PvP though, shows like Game Grumps and Markaplier) along with alot of other youtube broadcasts/documentaries. Its another form of entertainment, and just cause you don't like it doesn't mean there isn't a place/time for it.
