I got the Crycloud error code 0x4000c and I am not sure why... (RESOLVED)

I recently was back to Hunt since drops on twitch called my attention and I gifted a friend the game and finally was able to have 2 other people to consistently play with, but yesterday as I was trying to play with them the Crycloud error code 0x4000c appeared and when I tried messaging the support team to help and they said they found "the use of third-party software (cheat/hack) which was used to alter the game experience and give you an unfair advantage against other players." and I am here trying to break my mind in what might cause that or if it was a fail positive from their end, has anyone experienced this before? the only one program that I have that might come to mind is Riot Vanguard for Valorant, that is just sitting there, but other than that I am clean, if anyone can supply me more info on what might cause this since the support clearly stated that they are not telling me what caused it, It would mean the world to me since I was so hyped to play with my friends and the timing for this to happen is awful.

Edit: after sending 3 different times my appeal and the first 2 being rejected I got an email from support telling me in was in fact a false positive from the EAC.

Since riot vanguard is an anti cheat for valerant it is doubtful that is thew cause. Good luck with your new account and the slew of games that you haven't any hours on getting sympathy here.

Same here. Just played with friends and got randomly banned. Never used cheats, 1200+ hours in the game, steam acc is 11+ years with not a single ban. Always support this game and brought a lot of players in it. And now got banned without any reason. Very sad. Very hope i'll get unbanned, already wrote to the support, because Hunt is one of my most fourite games.

Is it possible that you can get banned for a teammate using cheats ???, because every single case of this lately has started " I bought my friend a copy of the game " and boom people that have played for alot of time get banned, i would be asking my so called mate what jiggery pokery they were up to and think about that friendship.

This thread is another case of EAC falsely banning players, my friend got banned a week ago, he has 1800h+ in Hunt, never cheated, most of the time we played together and his KD is 1.0 (mine is 1.5), and he got banned. Randomly. Without a reason. And through last week I read a ton of posts like this where EAC bans falsely and gives zero unbans nor verification, nor points the reason behind a ban. You don't even have to cheat in Hunt to be banned, you just need to use software that they consider cheating, like EqualizerAPO, CORSAIR iCUE, Logitech GHUB, etc. So from my end, no more money for any game supported by EAC or a developer who uses it. And for the record, I haven't been banned ever, in any game, but my friend was, falsely, and that's enough for me. BTW, Riot Vanguard is a solid anti-cheat, objectively, better than EAC.

BTW2, I just read that having Vanguard in your system can trigger an EAC ban. Wonderful.

Maybe we should draw the attention of the community and bloggers to this problem? We have the required number of players with same problem?
My friend banned with same problem. Now our trio broke.

Today I got a generic response from EAC support. Basically, they claimed I had third-party software that gave me an advantage over the other players. No clarification of what they're talking about as they do not share that kind of info.

Like, hell, I'm 4200 hours into the game, own every single DLC, and my K/D ratio is a lame 1.14. Since the war in my country started, Hunt was my way of keeping it sane. At least I still could communicate with friends and have a good time once in a while. I liked the game as it is, no need to cheat.

And to be banned as it is, out of the blue sky, man, it hurts. Like, if I cheat then I would go easy on that. Like, ok I did cheat, and I deserve the ban. But being wrongly banned is just sad and unfair. That is not what I deserve after being a fan of a game and supporting it as much as I can, for such a long time

Btw. Got both equalizer APO and Logitech ghub on my pc.

I just go the same response from the EAC, basically saying "yeah we are sure you cheated, ♥♥♥♥ off" and I have not a single thing, my accouint was not hacked or someone else was on it since I actually protect it, this is my only and main account that I have been using for a long time and this BS is so annoying.

Yes, I just wanted to play with my friends and the fact that a dumb false EAC proc is not letting me pisses me off, If it was true that I cheated I would just move with my life but this feels personal, never cheated and never thought of cheating and still get banned(?) so lame

Bullspit. I have Icue, Re-Shade and Logitech hub. Friend who is hard of hearing uses EQAPO, not banned.

The best part is, no one believes your dogwater excuses about harmless programs causing bans. Cheats is what got you banned.

I am almost inclined to believe the people that claim "there's a cheater in every Hunt game" since cheats for hunt are available on almost every website that sells them. I am going against my earlier position here where until the devs actually start taking meaningful action that showcases they care about cheating versus hiding behind EAC that was cracked a long time ago.

Even the most reliable program has errors, what to say about such a holey hole as EAC. I can vouch for my friend, we always play on 3-4 stars without cheats. Banned on my eyes. No need to accuse people of cheating just for lulz.
