Voip not working in game

I have 1560 hours in game and out of that voice chat worked in some matches only a handful of times (maybe 5 - 6). I don't even remember when was the last time it worked. As far as i know Hunt Showdown uses Vivox voice chat service which games like Pubg and Rainbow 6 siege use. Weird thing is that my voip works perfectly normal in Pubg and R6 but not in Hunt.

What my issue is:

Other people cant hear me talking. I can't hear other people talking.

When i press PTT button and talk there is no microphone icon that normally appears below. When my teammates talk there is no icon showing them talk, which normally should apppear.

Things i have tried:

I have checked in game settings. Input and outputs are the same that are used in windows.

I have tried changing to another source (in game) then back to what it was originally - doesn't help.

I have tried resetting audio settings (in game) then configuring again - doesn't help.

2. I have checked my windows audio drivers - everything is fine.

3. I have correct output and input in steam audio settings.

Sometimes Windows change the input. I have this very often when i plug out my Headset and then windows see oh your Monitor have Soundbar you this is the new default.
So yea most of the time is Windows or your self wo change the input.
I also use an RODE Mikrofon for Videos and sometimes Windows dont change back and let the RODe be default.


Do you make an Sound check can you hear you self? Maybe is deactived by your self.
I have an button on the Headset to Mute or i can put the Mikrofon up and its Mutet.
Or Software like TS or Discord put the sound down.

I have the same problem the microphone icon appears but I can't hear them talking.

The same should use your windows settings, but if thats fine check your steam settings for voice input and output.

Why would any of these settings affect the receiving audio within the game, when the audio in general works fine?

I leave these things by default as they are and I don't have this problem in other games. I also had unchecked the muted audio on death since the beginning.

hunt does weird things, it's not exactly the most optimized or intuitive system design on the market.

Open in game audio settings and switch your audio sources to your headset. Happens randomly
