Why are the mods in the discord server so intolerant to opinions?

Everytime i see someone interact playfully or have a different opinion to a mod in the discord server they always get banned without any reasoning. is there any other hunt servers out there that arent as agressive as the official one?

Are they arguing rules/moderation actions?
If so, that's generally against the rules in any discord/forum because public space is not appropriate for that kind of thing. (Though mostly good mods only apply warnings/small bans for that kind of thing, not strict ones)

If it's actually for different opinions that are not rude, and not spreading misinformation or anything, then yeah, the mods are being over zealous and it should be looked into.

Can you provide an exact example/picture of a message that resulted in a ban, that was just opinion based? You can redact any names involved and it would be okay. I can't offer any opinion without relevant context, as there may be two sides to the story.

No, I watched them both being fairly toxic- so opinion likely had nothing to do with it.
Insults and poor behaviour are warranted bans, no matter what opinion you anchor them too.

There are examples of people here being banned that were defending games/devs because they were also insulting people, and being toxic. It works both ways.

Heisenberg was reported by 2-3 others including myself for being a toxic mother in many posts. They deserved a ban, and likely the others you think don't deserve it do also.

Could be worse. I got banned on Dead By Daylight forums cause there is this failed streamer that got a job as a community rep. I defeated every single argument he ever made, and he got tired of it.

I got banned for get this : Saying someone was a Bias Survivor Main, after he called me a "Whiny little killer main." I got perma-banned, he didn't.

I got temp banned on this forum for suggesting someone was a sissy (literally that word) for leaving their team and running to extract. Meanwhile people run around in game yelling slurs and being toxic.

Both are toxic and shouldn't be in an official gaming enviroment. I got banned from the Hunt official discord for posting a meme and then tagging a mod in it in the general chat.

I had a friend that got called racial slurs both in game and discord server, he showed proof to mods and all they said was "too bad, we didnt see it ourselves so we are just gonna note it down and shove it down out 455"

If you break Steam ToS and forum rules any Steam mod can ban you.

Clearly some nobodies got a bit rustled and rage posted hard enough to get banned. Mind you, you do get warnings first. Regardless of that OP has no actual proof of anything so I'm going to assume this is a cry wolf situation.

Easiest thing to do in those situations is to ignore them. You're trying to argue in a situation where you can't win and are at the mercy of the proverbial "discord moderator".

It makes them really angry if you just reply "k" and move on with your life. Try it. I promise you, you will be amazed at the results.

yeah its sad thats the solution, really hoping for a community made server since the official server mods are really agressive.

i ended up using the word "stupid" in one of my comments in an argument based on how op nurse is (which in short theoretically you cannot outplay or escape nurse so yes shes op think it was old nurse at that) and ended up banned for it

another time was just listing a few things that made me feel like rage quitting from a match and i was punished for "admitting to raging mid match" and got punished for it (yet again i did not admit to such things (and 9/10 i don't even although i don't like the match anyways) top it off if there's things that i openly say as my INFURATING issues with the game to have them mute that then it kinda says bad devs all over it

while yes im talking about dbd and don't really have any experiences with hunt forums i swear there's too meany rules and too meany punishments for minor things (especially if the devs are just sensitive to negitive feedback)

forums is supposed to be a freedom of speech as long as its not toxic towards other form users (if its something minor then at least make it a warning lmao)

even context behind someone saying something considered toxic isn't even considered into factor like 1 user may agitate another make them start speaking toxic and your punished while the other isn't which just gets silly (which was one of my punishments)

these devs are allowed to punish you in any way they want and theres nothing you can do about it
